Once done, this is very easy to clean - the cheese slid right out. It does not come with the fuel for burning. It does a great job of keeping traditional fondue nice and melty. I recommend heating it on the stove initially, just to get the cheese to a smooth consistency, then keep it warm on the stand with a burner underneath. Note that it does NOT come with the burners or candles! You'll need to get those yourself. I really like that it's cast iron, so you can use it for cooking other things on the stove or in the oven as well.My only single complaint: I find it very difficult to fully clean. I have other cast iron pots that are easy to clean, but this one just isn't. I have to scrub (I mean, SCRUB) the inside to get the cheese remnants fully off. Maybe I need to season it better, but I did season it the same as other cast iron.
