Backed by a trusted Italian manufacturer, this product is essential for maintaining the efficiency of your boilers, heaters, and other water installations. ## Description PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION FERDOM dispensers with anti-sludge and anti-corrosive properties dose proportionally food grade polyphosphate (sodium), which, thanks to its composition, creates a microscopic and anti-scale membrane on metal surfaces, causing the water to have limited contact with metal surfaces. At the same time, polyphosphate forms a colloidal suspension that does not allow calcium and magnesium ions to precipitate. The preparation is dosed in microscopic quantities (3-5 parts per million). According to local regulations, it can also be used for drinking water (Italy UNI 8065). In most of European territory the water is hard or very hard. This has the following effects; failures of boilers, heaters, heating installations, fittings, household appliances.FERDOM FD406 is installed on the cold water supply to the building (recommended), or before of the device that we want to protect eg boiler, heater, etc. Model FD406 has a built-in By-Pass valve that allows to shut off the water supply for the time of replacement, so it can be mounted without shut-off valves.
