I had so many hopes for this outfit, for May the 4th be with you but it is not cut for bulky or bully breed pups. I returned for refund.

Great quality. I read the reviews, so I knew it ran small. I bought a XXL. I have two lads... Ones a pup (in the picture) she's 31.4 lbs and it needed to be sinched up a little around the neck with some clips. My full grown lab (47 lbs) it fit great everywhere... Just the neck is real low, and therefore all the stuff on the chest kinda gets lost. Over all I'm happy with it! Gonna be great for my May The 4th photo shoot! I usually buy meds for the pup and large for the adult just to give you idea on sizes!

I purchased the Darth Vader, Ewok, and Bantha costumes, I'll share my experience and maybe it will help you with sizing.Darth Vader (X-large) for a German Shephard mix. My dog is about 55 pounds and muscular. The XL was too small in the chest, but fit ok in the belly. I think this is made for smaller breeds (like in the picture), but I was able to cut slits into the arm seams to get it to fit and it ended up looking good.Ewok (large) for a chubby pug-basset hound mix. She's a little overweight, but this was a good size and fit well. I wish the ears stood up instead of flopped down, but it is a very cute costume.Bantha (one size fits most) for a 70 pound Golden Retreiver. This costume would be best for a medium-sized dog, like the collie in the picture, or smaller. It has two straps that go underneath and I was able to move the front one to go around his neck instead to get it to fit. The hat with the reigns straps were too short to hold it on his head, so I had to modify that to get it to stay. As others have noted, the sand person flops around and doesn't sit up as is, but was able to get it to look good with a half dozen or so sturdy clothes pins.

I have a Great Dane, and this did not fit... my dogs chest was too deep, and I couldn't get it on, and I got the biggest size. I would not recommend this for big dogs or dogs with deep chests.

Ordered this for my 80 lb long hair German Shepherd. She is very lean but tall. This fit her snug. The cape did not attach without me pulling the velcro closer together, as this was such a snug fit. The cape keeps falling to one side and the hat is hollow so if they put their ears down like mine did, it looks silly and then falls off. Overall it is cute and she didn’t mind it. However, I purchased this for her sibling Vader, which is a bit bigger at around 90 lbs, and it did not fit. If your dog is anywhere over 80 lbs and isn’t lean, it will not work. Even smaller full figure breeds would have a difficult time fastening this. 4 stars because it was cute and she didn’t mind it on. It was like a big pajama.

Will not fit an English Bull Dog or any dog without a neck. I bought this for my bulldog and the helmet doesn’t even fit right.

My son enters his dogs yearly for Halloween Contest. This costume, although not made well, did fit my sons German Shepherd. It had some stretch/give but not much. I would consider buying again

This costume is WAY better than I expected. I was expecting just a front piece with nothing on the back, like the Yoda costume, but not only does it velcro all the way down the back, it has the cape down the back too. The picture does not do it justice. Very Happy with this. It's a little small for my 100 LB Husky/Malamute mix but he has an abnormally deep chest and that is where it doesn't fit. I will have to make alterations to it, but overall very happy. It fits him from the neck to the tail perfectly, about 28 inches. The only real downside is the helmet does not stay on because the string that you pull to tighten doesn't stay tight and he tips his head forward the helmet falls off. I think elastic with velcro would have been better, but this is minor issue. Can't wait for Halloween to show him off.

Th costume was good but totally impractical. My dog got completely tangled in it and so only wore it for about 5 mins

The worst quality costume I have ever seen! I paid £20 for this. The elastic snapped off just putting the helmet on our dog, the fabric tore within minutes of him wearing it, absolute disgrace! AVOID!!

this is a very cool looking costume for dogs but the sizing is crazy this was really tight on him. This would probably fit a female german shepherd easier.

Looked great at dog show, probably get size larger than you think, not a lot of room

Could be a bit bigger my dog weighs 37 kg the hat is way too small the cape is really tight but overall is a nice quality and it’s usable!
