I just bought a new Tig welder and I needed something to practice on. This cube project is fantastic. The metal is good quality and has very low impurities (easy to clean and weld). The metal is thick, which makes it easy to weld. And it looks really cool. Great gift for welders!!

I got my AlphaTIG several years ago but never used it. Purchased this product 2 weeks ago and used it as soon as I received it. Last time I TIG welded something was in 2005, so I am very rusty.It is a bit pricey for what you get. But if you're lazy to cut out your own "coupons" then this is the product for you.I also purchased the aluminum version to work on at a later date.

Just more material sourced for when I am ready to learn (or Relearn) a welding process I haven't done for 50 years! What we know today as TIG welding used to be called Heli-Arc welding. A bit of the process has changed and so have I in the last 50 years!Once I practice on other items I can weld together and improve enough to share my work with others this will make a perfect small project with which I can showcase my polished up skills at TIG welding!I wanted something more than pieces of scrap metal to show to potential customers! This will work perfectly!

Item was good for practicing and kind of cool keepsake as your first welded object but definitely on the pricey side in my opinion for six pieces of flat stock
