How good is the durability?

The durability is poor. I had the model for over 10 years before the straps and zippers broke. I bought a replacement in 2017 and it lasted less than a month before a strap pulled out. That, at least was covered by warranty. I did receive a replacement and that has lasted less than 5 years before the laptop compartment zipper broke. As the warranty period is 3 years, I’m now buying from another manufacturer,. Goodbye, Wenger and your poorly made products.

Will a 17.3 inches screen Lenovo ideapad Z710 (dimensions: 16.30 x 1.24 x 10.60 inches) fit?

Not gonna lie, at 17.3 inches my laptop was smack at the top of the bag and made closing the zipper a gamble at best. i would say that they mean a very literal 17 inches and i feel like that is being generous. so no, i don't think it will fit.

How have the shoulder straps lasted over time? (particularly for those who carry a lot of items in their backpack)

I carry a heavy load in my ibex backpack on a routine basis and have had no issues with the straps giving out or sagging. I can pack a 17" laptop, all the peripherals for it as well as text books, binders and writing instruments without issue. It has great storage capacity and because of the shoulder strap design, it takes some of the stress off of my shoulders when carrying the load wherever I trek. Well made and after 6 years, still a great bag.
