I have been trying a number of other essences and toners, adding them to my routine over time, and I like the clean, simple feel of this one. I use it in the morning now with a pad as my first toner and to wipe off any reside from the night before rather than using any type of cleanser. I also love that it has niacinamide and other hydrating/brightening ingredients. I was initially put off by the fragrance which smells good but I don't really like fragrance in my skin care, but to be honest, I don't smell it after I put it on and as I'm writing this after completing my first bottle (yes, it's lasted me this long and I used it in AM and PM), I actually forgot it has fragrance (perhaps because I use it with a pad now rather than a few drops on my hand to pat on my face) and probably only had whiffs of it from my hand.
