Ephraim, Chosen of the Lord: What it means to be of the tribe of Ephraim

Should be on every Latter-day Saint's bookshelf
I wish every Latter-day Saint would read this book and develop his understanding of his sacred mission. Knowing who we are is a crucial part of leading a successful life, but we don't truly know who we are if we do not understand our lineage and the blessings and responsibilities associated with that. The majority of Latter-day Saints are Ephraimites, but I doubt whether the majority understands what this means and how significant this declaration truly is.In the ultimate sense, all of us are "descended from the lineage of the Gods," to quote Elder Delbert Stapley. We are all children of our Heavenly Father. But while in pre-mortality, certain of our Father's children distinguished themselves through their good works and valiant advocacy for the Savior and the Father's Plan. As a reward for that stalwart devotion to the Father and to His Eldest Son, the souls were foreordained to come to earth in the lineage of Israel - and as Ephraimites specifically. Ephraimites hold the birthright and the preeminence among all the tribes of Israel. Because of these greater blessings, we also have the greater responsibility to gather scattered Israel. Are we up to the challenge? This book is short, but to the point. It describes the nature of Ephraim's birthright. It emphasizes the foreordination of Ephraimites. It details the duties we Ephraimites possess. And it makes clear what incredible blessings are in store for us if we stay true to what is expected of us as the Lord's vanguard in these last days. If you are a Latter-day Saint, this book should be on your bookshelf.

An ok read
It was a good read however it did come of a little Elitist. It did not have the humility and power it was intended to have I think? One must understand though that the writer { Did not have the commission , calling and setting apart by the First Presidency} to write this. Thus when that is considered and taken into account. it is understandable that it would be written as it was and that is had the affect it had.
