Overall good, but with a few flaws
Overall, because of the price this controller gets 4 stars. There are plenty of things to like about it, but a few things that bother me too.Pros:-Fun colors, and the switch even recognizes them as blue and red when you pair/attach them.-Feel is much better than original joy-cons. It is much easier to play handheld with this controller. They are more ergonomic and also quite a bit thicker, and it feels great.-The triggers are better than the original and it is more fun to use them on this controller.-Although you do have to charge them separately, they charge quickly and last a long time.-Very easy to pair to your switch.Cons:-Can't charge while plugged into the switch. Each side has a usb-c port where they charge individually. It's not a big deal, but it is annoying.-The vibration is pretty terrible and loud, but this is easily fixed by turning it off. If you want the vibration on though, it will be annoying.-Some of the buttons are soft press, some are very clicky and loud. This might not bother you, but it's just a bit odd to me.The cons are very minor in my opinion and don't really matter all that much. The controller is very good for the price and I was happy I got it. It's very nice to have a second controller on hand and this purchase is worthwhile!

Good product, too bulky
I got these because the original joy cons that came with the Switch started to drift pretty bad. So far there is no drift with these ones (although time will tell if they do after lots of use). The feedback is nice and the buttons have a nice click to them when you push them. The vibration is very strong, which is good for me but some people may want to avoid. I have no real problem connecting them wirelessly to my Switch, although every now and then only one will connect. This isn't too much of an issue since I mainly use them for travel.I got these joy cons specifically because they have the additional support and hand grip, which is nice and makes it easier to hold the switch. The downside is the shape is too bulky. I've tried a number of ways to pack them together with my Switch into the case, but the only way I can get it to work is to leave one of the joy cons out of the case and carry it separately, which is very inconvenient.TL;DR I like the design and quality of the controllers, but the shape makes them inconvenient to pack for travel.

The best controllers we've tried and we've tried alot.
I bought 4 of these and I am impressed. We have used them every day for 5 months so far. 13 people live here, 8 are kids. We all play and the Switch is out go-to. Under these circumstances controllers are used alot and sometimes abused, dropped, get liquid spilled on them ect. We are very hard on controllers. Unlike many other wireless controllers, we have had no problems with these, at all. They work great and are made super tough. They dont begin to drift, joystics and buttons dont get loose or worn like other aftermarket and name brand Joycons do. All 5 have been ised atleast 100 times, for hours at a time, then recharged. The batterys have never ran out on us, ever. Usable distance is over the 30ft we have available and doesnt shrink when batterys get low like Joycons. We have had most models of oem and some aftermarket controllers. We use them often and for long periods. We wear them out quickly. At 4 month old, almost all we've tried drift already, become loose and less accurate, buttons get unreliable or quit working, they quit charging or holding a charge properly, usable distance shrinks, batteries get weaker with use, charging ports get issues or damage and sometimes even damage charging wires we plug into them, some get electrical shorts or just quit working altogether. In my opinion they are the best by far. They cost way less, work great, stay accurate, last longer, dont develop any issues at all and are just awesome, better made controllers than any others we've had. And, we've had alot. They outperform and outlast Joycons and every other wireless controller. I recommend these to every Switch player, Gamer or parent I meet. Try them out, I bet youll be glad you did.

Vibrations mess with gyro controls
I just got these a few days ago, and I gotta say, they are much more comfortable than the official joycons because of the little hand grips. There is one small flaw I noticed, however. Basically, on any game that uses gyro/motion controls, if this controller vibrates during it, the motion controls get all crazy and move all over the place. It’s kind of hard to explain but perhaps the game thinks that the vibrations of the controller count as motion controls. This can be fixed by turning vibrations off, but it leaves a little something to be desired. This is just a minor issue, and I’m sure many others won’t mind it.

Ergonomic when held vertically, not so great horizontally
I bought these joy-cons so we could play Mario Party with more people over the holidays. They do the job, but not perfectly. They are certainly built to be ergonomic when used together vertically or attached to the Switch, but they're not super comfortable when they're being used horizontally as individual controllers. Not a deal breaker for us since we certainly are not super-frequent players but probably not the joy-con you want if you're using them as individual controllers frequently. That said, used together they are quite comfortable and ergonomic, probably more-so than the OEM joy-cons, and very reasonably priced.

Left remote sloppy in switch
I like they way they fit in my hands, they were a bit finicky to get synced to my switch. Biggest issue so far is the left remote is super sloppy in the switch. The right side is nice and snug but left isn’t. Concerns me if it will stay connected, charging etc. Will update once I know more. If they both sat snug in the switch would definitely buy another set as I like the feel of them better

Right controller's up direction not working anymore.
The product was working great until it broke just before the 30th day return was up. Vibration is a little strong compared to the original but negligible. I like the handles. I have to return unfortunately, when one day the up button on the red handle is not working and throwing my on a loop in my games.

Comfortable to hold, but finicky to pair.
A much more comfortable grip than the default cons. The only problem I have is that to pair i have to turn on the switch, and then disconnect the cons before docking to use them separately.
