A bit lengthy but READ IF YOU WANT HONEST OPINION!
The good things: it definitely slims the belly area and keeps things sleek and packed in nicely lol. For reference I'm about 150lbs, 5ft, waist is about 30-32", hips are about 39-41" give or take and the large fit me perfectly. I linked up the middle hooks with minimal suffering lol. The material was soft and mostly breathable. The boning in it serves it well to help keep the trainer from rolling and keeping it in place BUT , the boning also makes it INCREDIBLY AWKWARD to sit! Unless u sit stark straight, the boning bends and puckers everything, making your stomach bulge look just as big if not bigger than before. If you aren't planning on doing much sitting then this is fine. But idk who that person is lol.The bad: aside from the boning issue, there's the issue of the back rolls. Either i pull the trainer up higher and then it turns my boobs / Bra into a literal SHELF, or I pull the trainer down a bit and the back rolls are RIDICULOUS. Backrolls were NEVER a concern of mine until i put this on. I'm assuming someone who buys this is looking to hide their imperfections, not make them worse. I specifically bought the short torso one to avoid this issue but this goes from right under my bra to just past my hip bones. Not very short if u ask me. Also, it seems to add a little bulk around the waist. While yes it does flatten and smooth the tummy, it's still bulkier than say a Spanx bodysuit or undergarment. I wasn't expecting an unrealistically snatched waist but I was hoping for a little bit of an hourglass shape but instead the shape I got was BOXY lol.All in all, I'm glad I bought this particular trainer for 14$ instead of spending twice that on any of the other same / similar trainers. As someone who just has some stomach pudge I was looking to "pack in " (lol) and just get a sleeker look In shirts, I wanted to just dip my feet in before spending a lot of $. And now I know that maybe this style of waist trainer isn't for me and I'd be better suited for more of a compression bodysuit. Hope this all helps (if you made it down this far) !!

Boning too flexible and not rigid
It's not made for short toro I'm 5'3 and it is too long and pokes me up under my breast. Also it is snug except in the area I need it most. The boning is too light/flexible in the front and it does not pull my stomach in, it gives it this rounded look. The boning on the side is ok.

Makes me look 3 months pregnant vs 6 months prego
I am a 5'3" 115-125# petite girl. I have 32AA cup chest. Meaning I can only shop the child's section for my bras. Anyway. Whenever my tummy would start poking out I would work out to get it back to before children size. But every time I would do that, of course I would lose what little breast I had. So I started thinking, maybe a waist trainer will help. Started shopping around. I have some corsets that do the job, but they are the "sexy" ones that have ribbons and bows, you know the ones you're not really going to wear out and about or at work. Came across this trainer and read the reviews and thought, hell I'll give it a shot. Let me paint a visual. I have a very petite frame, but when I am relaxed or just being me, I look like I am 6 months pregnant. All belly. Or you could think of me with just a beer belly, lol. Any way. I bought this trainer to see how it will work. I hade to get the XS because like I said I am very petite. When it was delivered I grabbed it right away and put it on. Even though it is an XS I still had to put it on the last set of the hooks. It is still not tight enough. The pic I have posted is with it on and you can still see my belly a little. So I went from looking 6 months pregnant to 3 months pregnant, so it did help a little I guess. It is very comfortable, which should have given me my first clue it wasn't going to work, because I wouldn't think they should be that comfortable if you are trying to train your waist and belly to be smaller than it is. You can still breath and definitely could work out in it. It is very stretchy. I will continue to use it while I look for another one. But just want little people like me to know that this one may not be the right one.

Too long
Still quite long even though it says for short torso, hurts my under boob area after about 15 min overall not terrible for price

Great overall for back and tummy support
Love my compression shapewear, I wear at least 5 days a week sometimes 6 but two of the rods broke inside on the back side ,I just took them out and kept wearing it , it didn't affect the shapewear at all. so beware if you wear it everyday some of the rods may break but not all of them, it still hold that tummy and them rolls on the side together though. LOL!

Better than the medical grade
It is the most comfortable garment I have bough so far. I have bought 3 medical grade garments and this thing stays where it should without pinching or binding! Kudos!!

posture is so much better!
i am a chronic sloucher haha. i spend all day at the computer and im usually slouching when im there. for years ive written things like "sit up" on my hand in the hopes it reminds me to stop slouching but it doesnt last long hahathis thing is exactly what i was looking for to help me correct my posture. im 5'9, weigh 150, 27" waist so i went with a small. its really tight but not uncomfortably so, but it is making it physically impossible to slouch haha. actually as soon as i put it on my spine sounded like a bowl of rice krispies while everything popped into place.idk about a slimmer waist, i already have an 8inch waist to hip ratio naturally so i really only bought for posture, but i mean, if this helps me shave off an inch or two that'll just be an added bonus. ill update if thats the case
