Review: A delicious prequel - Before Kelsey’s story, Finding It, began in Budapest, there was Kiev, Bucharest, and Belgrade. The routine was the same: partying, guys, repeat. And Jackson Hunt was there to witness it all. In Seeking Her, we see the vibrant, beautiful, magnetic, yet troubled Kelsey through Hunt’s eyes, while learning more about the enigmatic Afghanistan veteran we fell in love with along with Kelsey in Finding It. The problems in Hunt’s past are very similar to Kelsey’s, and in addition to being attracted to her, he is driven to help her overcome them, as his Marine Corps buddies once did for him. As with all of Carmack’s books in the Losing It series, the writing is bright and cliché-free, the characters are tangibly real, and the love stories sizzling and addictive. Be careful when you start this book (or any of her others), though: you won’t be able to put it down once you dive in! Being a military veteran myself, I found Carmack’s portrayal of a medically discharged, combat-tested Marine be refreshingly realistic. Hunt’s traumatic experiences in Afghanistan weren’t the focus of his story, rather a driving factor in his present problems of alcoholism and finding a purpose after war. I was so sad when I reached the end of the novella. Perhaps someday Carmack will indulge her fans by turning it into a full-length book and giving us even more of Kelsey and Hunt. ☺ Until then, I’ll be eagerly awaiting the first novel in Carmack’s new adult Texas college football series, ALL LINED UP, this spring.
Review: It was okay. - I was excited to read this book and seeing Jackson's POV but found myself a little disappointed at the abrupt ending of the book. We didn't get the whole story from their first book which is fine with me, however, this one just ended out of nowhere for me. It was still interesting and Jackson definitely had to endure a lot watching Kelsey self-implode for the first part of their journey together. An overall good book.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ great story but it ended too soon.
*by R***R on January 29, 2014*

I loved reading from Hunts POV it made me love him even more. My only problem is that if felt like it ended too soon. There were so many questions I wanted answers for. I was hoping his side would at least get to the point where they decided to travel together and the book became about both of them. What happened the night she was drugged and passed out to make him break his promise and leave her there by herself wondering what had happened the night before? And how did he react when she did not have her phone with her when he was trying to track her down the next day? Like I said I just wanted a little bit more from it.
