Patio Umbrella String Lights Battery Operated, 8 Lighting Modes Remote Control, Waterproof Outdoor LED Light for Beach Parasol Camping Tents Garden Decoration (Blue)

I purchased these after looking everywhere for a set of wired (plug-in) lights to be added to a patio umbrella. After not being able to find what I was looking for, I settled for these. Overall, they are a great addition to the patio and add a bit of ambiance to an umbrella at night. They will not add any significant amount of light, which I was ok with. They were pretty easy to install and came with plenty of small, clear zip ties. The lights have 8 different functions, and as others have noted, I'm not sure when you would use most of them as they tend to have a tacky carnival effect. My only really complaint is that the remote only works if you are within 2-3 feet of the battery pack and it takes many attempts for it to turn on/off. I even replaced the CR2032 battery it came with, and had no better results. Overall, given the low price of the lights, I am happy with them and can deal with taking a minute or two to get them on/off.

Good product to enhance your patio umbrella at night. Several settings for the lights. Remote. I just wish the length was much longer. I have a huge patio umbrella.

I have a HUGE 12 foot cantilever umbrella with 8 ribs and these look beautiful once installed. The remote leaves much to be desired, as IMO you need to be very close to the battery pack for the remote to work. It would be nice to sit under the umbrella and control the lights leisurely, but at this price point it works well. Tip- use a normal-sized ziptie to attach the battery pack to your umbrella- the tiny ones included are ideal for the lights, but not strong enough to effectively hold the battery pack to the umbrella base. Also, don't make the strands too taught- leave enough wiggle room to let the umbrella close without cracking the light strands.

These are nicer than we expected. We have a 6 rib, 9' umbrella and the only lights available were for 8 ribs, so we just doubled two of them. It looks great and they were easy to install. Some reviews mentioned the disk type battery that came with the remote was the wrong number, but the lights we received require regular batteries for both the power unit and the remote control. The remote works great and we can use it from quite a distance away, even from inside the house. The timer works perfectly. All the different light modes work well (blinking, fading, rolling, etc.), although we won't use those modes except maybe at Christmas. Very pleased with this purchase.

Not as bright as I thought but still very nice

Its a nice umbrella. Its not overly bright even with a full day in the sun for charging but it does hold a charge well. It tilts which is nice. Ive never used the remote I just push the button on the pole. I got the Apple green which goes very nicely with the pillows on my deck so Im happy! Its not expensive and is fine for the price!

Great product and adds a fantastic touch for night time dinning.Bought three units and it took me 3 hours to install just ONE on my 10 ft. wide cantilever umbrellas. There are eight strings of lights connected to one controller, only unwrap one string and finish one arm at a time to prevent lots of tangles. The product comes with WHITE electrical ties. I used my own 8" (not 4") black electrical ties since they blend into the dark color of the eight arms. Eight inch length is much easier to work with. After tightening the electrical ties and cutting the excess length with dykes, it results in a sharp end on the electrical tie. This sharp end will cut into the umbrella fabric. Suggest using finger nail clippers (not scissors) after using the dykes. to result in a smooth, not sharp end. The remote works well when you are close to the controller. Good product --would recommend to a friend to add sparkle to their night time parties. These lights are bright, but by no means will they help you read a book. Have fun -- good project!

Installing the lights is easy - it comes with small zip ties so that was nice. The first time I used the lights, they were awesome! They gave off plenty of light and I loved all the features. However, I only got to use the lights twice (I've only had them for about 6 weeks). I tried to turn them on again when my kids had some friends over at night to swim...nothing, no lights, no flicker, nothing. I tried replacing the batteries (we live in AZ so I figured the batteries might go bad quicker in the extreme heat) - that did nothing. I know it wasn't the remote because I tried to turn them on from the battery pack and still got nothing. Also, the waterproof seal that surrounds the batteries, just fell right out. I know it didn't do that the first time I put batteries in (again, maybe the heat had something to do with it). I'm just disappointed because I really enjoyed the way they looked the two times we used them. I was planning on using them a lot more when the weather got cooler at night and we can enjoy being outside.

The media could not be loaded.  A huge disappointment! Thé set of lights is missing a rib of lights and on one part we had two strings attached to one which made one of the strings shorter than the others. Hard to believe so much could be wrong with one set of lights. We didn’t notice the problems until we were nearing the end of the installation. What lights do exist work fine including the 8 modes but it just doesn’t look as nice as it should. Sad!
