“Proud to be an American with this “American-made” flag pole!”
After spending a couple of weeks looking for a quality flag pole, I decided on the 21 foot Liberty. It’s construction is top quality. Walking my dog in the neighborhood I noticed that other poles doesn’t match this pole. The fact that it was made in the US was a huge selling point. It is made of brushed aluminum that give it a beautiful look. The top brass ball seems to be made of metal not cheap plastic. I fly two flags at once. The top flag is the current US flag, the lower flag is a historical flag for an event in the current month. It doesn’t seem to wrap and get twisted. Another nice feature is you can extend it fully or lower it by adjusting the three pole extensions. It has a double lock system, the ez-lock if you extend that part of the pole fully or the twist lock if not. This gives double security to the pole. The pole can also be taken out completely In extremely bad weather. Installation was pretty easy. I’m not too mechanical but I was able to install it by myself. Use the instructions that come with the kit, not the video on the internet. Dig a hole 26 inches deep. Line it with pea rock of about 3 inches. This leaves about one inch of the 24 inch sleeve above the ground. The key now is too make sure the sleeve is level. I pushed the sleeve into the pea rock. This will ensure no concrete gets into the sleeve and steady the tube. I also used two pieces of rebar on opposite sides of the sleeve by shoving it into the pea rock to steady it. To tighten the rebar around the sleeve I wrapped a solid rubber band around the rebar and the sleeve. This kept it remarkably steady. I also used pieces of wood shims to keep the sleeve from moving. Now level it. That is the key. I used 4 bags of 50 lb Quiksete fast set. I poured the Quiksete in buckets and threw it in dry around the sleeve one bag at a time. Just add water and mix. I did this one bag at a time four all four bags. Make certain that all the concrete is wet to the proper consistency but don’t add too much water. I had a lot of moist soil so I didn’t add as much water as was recommended. And make sure to keep that sleeve level! I made sure it was level after adding every bag of material. But the sleeve isn't really going to move after that Quiksete begins to set. That’s about it. I’m real excited about the flagpole. I hope this review helps others. Enjoy your flag pole!

Pole is ok, but support from Ezpole really lacks (with Update)
This review is about Ezpole not the distributor that is selling them here. The Positive! When it was shipped, the gold globe was crushed by the heavy pole. I emailed SupplyKick who is selling it here and Scott sent out a replacement right away. Things happen.Negatives:The pole was pretty easy to install, 100 lbs of quickcrete and it pretty much went up no issues. After a few days, and a couple of wind gusts, the bottom ring went to the top and stuck because at the top of the pole they have two rivets that made the plastic ring stay up there and me needing to get it it unstuck. It is just a poor design. There shouldn't be two proud rivets there, they should be flush screws or a metal ring covering the rivets so the plastic ring can't get stuck. You can see one under the plastic ring circled in blue in my photo why it sticks. I guess I will stick a stainless steel hose clamp over the rivets to fix it. My fix right now is to use the bigger plastic ring (if you are flying two flags) that has a larger diameter and when it gets blown to the top, it slides over and doesn't get stuck on the two proud rivets.Next issue is that the top spinning part of the anti wrap is now sticking. Seems that the plastic washer that is supposed to spin freely is getting worn and it getting dust causing friction now just after 3 weeks. Again, easy fix is to put a metal thrust bearing on it, but I shouldn't have to do this. Thrust bearings that size are about $1. For a $250 pole, I would expect a bit more engineering of this. All plastic parts being in the sun directly, these things are going to break, I just sense it. I suspect that Ezpole sells replacement rings to people every 2-3 yrs. I will make metal ring versions when they break.Lastly, customer support is non-existent at Ezpole. I called Scott, at SupplyKick, who sold the Ezpole here on Amazon. He couldn't help me with the issue so he called Ezpole person to contact me a week ago, and crickets. Scott seems helpful enough last week, but didn't followup either to make sure the issue was taken care of. I actually tried to call Ezpole directly, and customer service is non existent, just says to email them and the phone call hangs up. Might be made in Ohio USA, but I have to say I think I will move on to purchasing from both a different product and reseller next time. I am ready to give my dollars to people that provide a good value but that needs to include service after the sale and this means that non-USA companies are eating USA companies lunches, sad, but non-US people generally are harder workers and will do better in these areas, and I will buy from them.Update: got a call from Ezpole tech person after waiting a 10 days and two attempts. She tells me 'sorry we have never had people call about this. Put me on hold and said 'try hammering in the rivet and then using a file to file them down a bit'. File down the rivets huh? You don't do that, the rivets will break. Ok, I am a handy guy, but what I would have liked is 'oh my, that is crazy, let me just send you out a new pole and swap it out, we would like it back to ensure we fix the defect in our highly prized made in USA factory.' In my dreams. Very sad response. Scott the one that sold this refunded some money on the deal and I will re rivet these. Also, I know this is a problem because others are commenting about this in the Amazon reviews. If you look close to the product photo you will see that the rivets are counter sunk into the pole to be flush. Attaching photo. Scott who sells these has been great, but Ezpole won't get my business anymore, clearly EzPole doesn't ever read the customer reviews.
