I started to leave a 3 star review but realized it would not be due to THIS specific product. It works great and I had no issues with the initial product. Sadly though, this is Medela’s old design and they just don’t last long enough. They crack so easily at the connections. If you have the freestyle pump, these work great and are exactly what you’re looking for. I just wouldn’t recommend the freestyle pump (from an exclusively pumping mom)

Pros: Proper suction, easy to assemble, comparable to original parts, great value. Cons: Takes time to properly clean them. I exclusively pump with the Medela Freestyle and find the suction on the pump, along with these parts, is excellent. The value is great; I’ve only found these to be reasonably priced here on Amazon and Target, but Amazon Prime makes the shipping a lot faster than Target. They are easy to assemble with only three pieces and are just as good as the original parts that come with the pump. They can be a hassle to clean because there’s a lot of little spaces inside the parts to clean out breast milk residue, but a good soak in warm soapy water helps. I find it helpful to purchase two sets, so one is always in use while the other is drying/clean. Side note: In my opinion, you should replace these parts every 1-2 months for the pump to work at its best. Also, do not scrub the membranes (rubber pieces), my husband made that mistake and it compromised the suction. Just gently wipe in warm soapy water.

Bought these so I wouldn't have to wash the parts immediately after each pumping session. They work great but I will point out that if the suction is feeling low first make sure all the parts are clicked in properly and if it still feels low sometimes you just have to unclick and reclick them in.

Great quality. Bought because my breast pump valves were losing some suction. Thought price was very reasonable. Fit my Medela Freestyle perfectly.

I pumped three times every day at work until my son's first birthday (phew - so glad it's over!). I bought this replacement when I noticed that I wasn't pumping as much. I must admit, every day was a struggle - my son wouldn't drink formula and I constantly worried whether I would be able to pump enough for my son. $17-30 isn't cheap for something that isn't guaranteed to be the solution to a decrease in supply, but it was worth a shot. Luckily, switching out these parts helped (at least a little) with the efficiency of the pump. I also periodically switched out the tubing as well. Remember, you could write off these breastfeeding supplies on your tax return or use your HSA dollars to make these purchases!

I have an older model Medela Freestyle and can’t find the parts anywhere other than Amazon. I had been using my hand held manual pumps, but I really wanted to be hands free. So thankful for this option! They work well and came in a timely manner!!

Once you start pumping it can feel like all you do is feed, pump, change diapers, repeat. There doesn't feel like a lot of time to wash and sanitize because there isn't. I actually have 3 sets of these and it's really been a lifesaver. I wash them in batches and always have clean ones ready when it's time to pump. I find it especially helpful on the go--I assemble a couple sets of the spare parts, the breastshield and a bottle and put them in a ziploc bag for when I'm ready to pump. After I'm done, I put the used (dirty) set into a recycled plastic shopping bag and have it set aside to wash when I get home. If I need to pump again while I'm out, I have another set all ready to go and I'm not worried about any bacteria or dried milk from the last session. You can also grab some Quick Clean Breastpump and Accessory Wipes 24 Pack . They work well too but can get a little pricey if you're using them every time you pump.

I ordered 8 of these sets for my wife now, since on the first 4 the rubber seal (in the middle) started shrinking and warping after 4 months. This almost caused an issue feeding the baby since my wife was first thinking it was her output. Just be warned that these seals (which can't be purchased on their own) have a VERY high failure rate. Especially very warm water (dishwasher, steaming or just very hot dishwater) causes them to shrink/warp. If you check other reviews, you will notice similar reviews. When we contacted Medela, they more or less confirmed the issue. They should really sell these seals as a separate unit since the plastic pieces are doing well.

Have had an excellent experience with medella pump and bought a second set of parts as I am almost a full time pumper.

I have a Freestyle pump that I used for my elder daughter 6 years ago. Now I need to use it for my baby daughter, only to find out the suction was close to zero. The pump seemed to work fine so I assumed it was some sealing issue, and I decided to give these new parts a try. Glad I did it. Now the pump works as good as it was 6 years ago. I'm very happy to spend $30 to safe $500 on a new pump.

Items arrived in perfect condition..good to have a second set of these for mothers pumping multiple times per day.

Me encanta que haya un repuesto. Es muy resistente. Me sido muy útil contar con un juego extra para mi extractor. La dinámica de extracción en el trabajo ha cambiado ahora con mi segundo bebé. Suelo extraerme leche dos veces en la jornada y cuando mi primera bebé usaba la misma oficina todo el tiempo y controlaba bien donde lavar y dejar secar las piezas de mi extractor. Pero ahora con la segunda debo cambiar de oficina para la extracción y no siempre puedo dejar secando las piezas. Así que me sirve tener otro juego limpio y estéril para la segunda extracción. Incluso eso me ha permitido ser donadora de leche materna pues le guardo más leche a mi bb de la que necesita al día. Tener otro juego siempre estéril es una maravilla.
