OtterBox iPhone 11 Pro Max Commuter Series Case - Black, Slim & Tough, Pocket-Friendly, with Port Protection

1. Separate the rubber part from the hard plastic. 2. Install rubber part on your phone and make sure its properly on. 3. Insert plastic part over rubber part and make sure its properly installed. 4. Perfect fit, protects tbe camera, doesn't come loose in pockets, feels and looks fantastic. Volume buttons are actually awesome because they are separated and not one long volume button like it is on the phone itself. So its much easier to determine volume up and volume down with the case. Charging is perfect. Wireless charging works perfectly. S pen fits great. 5. I already dropped it down a flight of stairs and all I heard was rubber bouncing off the marble steps. No damage whatsoever to any part of my phone. Super impressive not going to lie. CONS: One thing bothers me. Its a little more difficult to slide down the notification bar due to the tight lip on the case. It onky bothers me when I'm using the phone one handed. Other than that its fine and worth it. As long as its installed properly, you will love this case and it will protect your device. Looks and feels great. Very light.

I believe I bought this case around 1-2 years ago, and loved the color, and how durable it was. It wasn’t too thick, but wasn’t too thin either. It was easy to put on, and has a good grip when you’re holding your phone. After two years I’ve had two obvious damages to the case, the side panel snapped in a place, and the charger cover eventually tore off. Which is probably what will happen after multiple months of use. Especially in the workforce where your phone gets beat up like mine does. But it’s protected my phone and I’ve never had any damage on the phone itself! 10/10 case

My first review didn’t save. I’ve had this case since December of 2021. I generally get the lesser-known brands like Supcase off Amazon because the price to functionality doesn’t justify the store priced “name brands”. This one wasn’t priced bad. Pros: rugged. Easily retrievable from pockets. It’s durable and has held up. I have dropped this MANY times and thought I could cushion the impact with my foot to only punt it into a wall or skidding across the ground like a skipping stone. Cons: while this was originally a pro for me it quickly became an adaptation issue. The back is slick, or will become slick. The majority of my cases are rubberized on the back and it makes it difficult to retrieve from my pocket. My hands end up looking like I have an MS deformity how I have to hold it with one hand while browsing in bed. iPhone 11 Pro Max - slightly larger than the standard variation iPhone. Only recently did I add a “pop it” to the phone - which now defeats the simplicity of slipping it in or out of pockets. Overall, great phone. I attached images showing the two breaks in the plastic over this length of time (over a year now!) They haven’t fully snapped and are still functional. One of the few cases that the charging port cover hasn’t ripped off or stretched beyond use!

This is a good case for the new iPhone 11 Pro Max. I usually buy the OtterBox Commuter Series cases, and never had a problem with them. I use glass screen protectors, and I have dropped my phone on rare occasions, that’s why I purchase a case for my phone, and OtterBox has never failed me with their cases. What I really like about this case is that they made it feel like the screen is more open and you barely know that the case is there, but it’s protected! There are honestly no flaws with this case at the moment, I will update this post further on because the case recently came out. Update: (Nov 23) This case lives up to what it is supposed to do. I have dropped my phone with this case on and it protects my phone perfectly. I have never got a scratch on my phone using the Commuter Series and even the previous generation's (since the iPhone 6). Yes they did change the case design up a little bit, but in my opinion I think it still performs well and works great. It has saved my phone from when I accidentally drop it on occasion, but I’m usually good about not dropping it and when I do this case is there to save it.

This case did a wonderful job of protecting my phone from drops and impacts - like all Otterbox products do, so I’m happy with it from that aspect. HOWEVER, as others have said, the rubber casing where the volume controls are had a loose fit, almost from the beginning. This is because the camera is close to the edge of the phone, so there is not enough surface area on the rubber case to support it and keep it tight. I even had problems pressing those buttons through the rubber cover for the first month or so, until it got broken in. The case only lasted for 2 years. The rubber portions of it started falling apart about 20 months after I purchased it. It just recently started getting REALLY bad, so I had to replace it. But guess what! Otterbox products have a LIFETIME warranty. I went to their web page, answered a few questions, paid $9.99 for shipping and handling, and I had a new case on the way! If it wasn’t for their lifetime warranty, I would only give this product 3 stars. But it did last for 2 years, and it has protected my phone so far, so they get 4 stars from me.

I bought this 2 years ago and just yesterday I drove off and left my phone on the hood of my car. I didn't notice until I was on the highway and another driver got my attention to tell me and at this point my phone went flying over my car. I immediately started crying and decided to go back for my phone. I put on my hazards came around to find my phone. Now I had to sit in my car for a full 5 minutes and watch car after car drive over it going 65mph. I grabbed it and it looked bad, but when I took it to the store on the screen was destroyed. They said the case protected the phone itself and only needed to pay 30 to replace my screen. So here I am on the same phone to say BUY this case because noway would I have ever thought my phone would have survived that yesterday but it did thanks to the case. And I'm about to buy a new one now. Oh and only half of the outer layer of the case was even broken on top of that. And I saw a suv drive over it a flip it so yeah worth the price.

Great quality. Living their brand, quality, fair price and “protective”

Fit perfectly! Will definitely purchase again.

I am huge fan of otterbox cases , use otterbox defender cases for all my previous phone and they all are in excellent condition after years of use and countless drops. But defender cases are super bulky and my 11promax is very big phone even without the case so this time I decided to try commuter case an no regrets at all !! Perfect case . Sturdy but not so bulky, excellent protection all round including screen and camera. easy to put on and off . My only con is charging port cover nothing bad but I don’t find it useful and it was annoying every time I wanted to charge my phone so I simply cut it off . But anything else is perfect! If you look decent phone case then look no further! 10 out of 10
