Great Stories, Great Experience
What can I say? Two of the stories in this book, Yertle the Turtle and Gertrude McFuzz, were some of my favorites growing up and I love sharing them with my grandchildren now. The fact that they love them six decades after I fell in love with them prove these are true gems for children. I do have to say the seller was fantastic. The book was in my hands less than 24 hours after being ordered. Talk about great service!

Ah, Yertle the turtle! A very fine and fun Seuss story of a turtle who wanted to be king of all he surveyed! So he stacked turtles high up and was proud of what he saw. But as they say, pride goes before a - what? Don't give the story up? Ok - then read this book for this and a couple more wonderful Seuss stories!

Classic kids reading
Bought this for my grand-nephew. Yertle was one of my favorite Dr. Seuss characters and stories. I remember enjoying this well into middle school, where i spent much of my spare time in the library fiction section. Helping a child discover the joy of reading is so important. It can take them anywhere, in this world or many others in fantasy and science fiction (creative writing makes your brain work, ex. Dune trilogy, dragons of Pern, Harry Potter). Sadly, required reading in schools often drives kids away from resources they might enjoy and leaves many thinking they don't like to read.

Yertle the Turtle ist einfach top
Dr. Seuss ist ein grandioser Geschichtenerzähler für Kindern und Kinder. Yertle the Turtle ist und bleibt dabei mein Favorit. Kann auch als Englisch-Lehrbuch genutzt werden wie all die anderen Dr. Seuss-Bücher. Sollte möglichst neu gekauft werden, da gebrauchte Bücher privat - wie bei mir - naturgemäß sehr zerlesen und abgenutzt sein können.
