Good product
I really like these nail pencils! Yes, they are a bit fragile, but if you are careful in sharpening and in using them they will stay intact. They are 50% longer than the Hansen pencils and 50% less expensive. They work very well to whiten under the tips of nails. Yes, you do have to wet the nails in order for the white to stay under, but that is not a big deal; it is not an all day fix - I use it 2 or 3 times a day as needed or wanted.

Doesnโt work as it should
I have been using Sally Hansenโs white manicure pencils since the 1980โs. Unfortunately, you can no longer get them so I thought Iโd give this a try. I do know in the past Iโve bought the flowery brand at Sallyโs beauty supply and it worked just as good as Sally Hansenโs. You cannot find those pencils anymore either, so I thought I would take a chance and buy this 3 pack on Amazon. These are absolute garbage. They do not work at all and when you try to sharpen them, it just breaks off. . Itโs basically just a white pencil they are trying to market for nails. I ended up returning it and got my money back.

Worth it!
I found if gently sharpened the pencil it doesnโt waste as much. And also use small sharpeners. Love the end result. Highly recommended!

They will work if you take your time
Pencil is not as good as the old Sally Hansens. However, since we don't have those anymore, these are what we have to work with. If you take your time and make sure the underside of your nails are wet and the point of the pencil has been run under water, they can work pretty well. It takes longer and you need to be patient. When sharpening the pencil, do it slowly and carefully when the pencil is dry. I am happy to have these pencils available and they make my shorter nails look very nice.

Works but tip constantly & easily breaks.
These are definitely not the brand and quality that my Mom always had. The "lead" has to be damp in order to work properly and even when I try to just touch it to a wet cloth rather than running it under water, the white tip crumbles and breaks. In addition, I find them difficult to sharpen. They break and/or jam up the end of the sharpener, regardless of what one I try. Once I finally get my nails done, I have to admit that the white does stay well under my nails. Even if I don't protect with clear polish, my tips stay white even after two hand washes.

4-in1 Flowery nail white pencils THE BEST
The BEST White Nail pencils-I have used other Nail White pencils before I was not able to find Flower but no other brand is as good as Flowery Nail White Pencil!!!! Holds the point on the pencil and point breaks less often-and points of pencils are easy to sharpen with pencil sharpener. I have only used old fashion pencil sharpener never used elec. or battery designed units. And for Extra white under nails one can wet the point of the pencil's white tip before using. Texas Ga;

Not the pencil your mother used..
This product doesnโt work. The formula must have changed because Iโve used it for years and it used to work great. You would wet it a little and It was like a soft white crayon coloring under your nail. Now, it doesnโt soften and leaves no white color under your nail. AT ALL. As you can see in the photo, my pointer finger looks like I have a French manicure. There I used my 20+ year old flowery pencil. Contrast that with my middle finger, which used the new pencil. Nothing. No change. To prove it, look at my ring and pinky finger where I didnโt use either. Itโs the exact same as the new flowery pencil. Donโt buy. Useless.

Too Soft, Crumbles & Can't Sharpen to a Point
Flowery brand has a longer pencil but is too soft, crumbles, and is impossible to get a good point on it with a pencil sharpener. Yes, the Sally Hanson brands crumbles too but not as badly as Flowery. I had been using Revlon's white nail pencil for years. Unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere. I've purchased other nail pencils and, for me, this pencil is by far the best. It never crumbled and kept an excellent point. I'm going to try the Golden Rose brand sold on Amazon as it gets very good reviews, and I'll add to my comments after I've tried it. Application is the key. I wash or rinse off my hands and nails with soap, dry my hands and immediately apply the pencil, which leaves a solid white area under my nails. Product gets on the nails under my skin so I quickly rub my skin with a towel. Either buff your nails or apply clear nail polish and you have beautiful sparkling clean nails. (DO NOT wet the pencil as this makes a mess - just damp nails-hands, run the pencil beneath your nails is the magic trick! Over the years I have routinely received comments on how lovely my nails looks.

A good purchase!
The pencils are good, but the inside white part is a bit difficult to sharpen as it is a very soft substance. It works good under the nails but wetting the pencil tip is not a very good idea as it breaks so easily. I just use it dry and it brightens up the look of the nails when they are long. A very good find!

Terrible product
Every time you try and sharpen them they break off. And when you do get a good sharpen they do not make under nails white. I can soak them and my fingers and they donโt work. Do not recommend ๐ก

Perfect Pencil!
I have been searching for a whitening pencil for years! I used to use Sally Hansen back in the early-mid 2000's, but no-one carries it anymore, or maybe it was discontinued? I absolutely love this pencil, it goes on easily and isn't chalky or messy, and it lasts. I love it more than the Sally Hansen. It's not as white, as I remember the SH, but it still whitens and enhances my nails... I LOVE IT! I also love that it's a longer pencil, so the 3 pack will last a very long time!

Keep the whites of your nails bright white.
Sometimes your nails can look yellow or discoloured. This is the answer. I don't always have the time or money to do my nails or have them done. A quick clean, file and coat of clear and the whitening pencil is my quick trick when I need my hands and nails looking good without much effort. The only thing is when the pencil needs resharpening use a good sharpener. Cheap plastic sharpeners will just break the lead.
