Ha! Flat battery! Thought about simply jump starting the car but it has the button start feature and various advice suggested being cautious. Thought we'd give this a shot albeit feeling a little dubious.Charged it up, connected to the car, which jumped into life immediately! Kept it handy initially but nope, didn't need again! Worked a treat. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extraordinary USB charger function *by M***E on 20 September 2020* I dont often feel the need to leave a review for products, but in this case the battery pack far exceeded my expectations. I bought it as a backup starter to keep in the car, but the USB charging function is completely exceptional. I've found that instead of the normal charging output I can get from a mains charger or a backup battery to recharge my phone/tablet of around 0.9 amps this particular pack will easily reach 1.4 amps and will also sustain that across both USB charging ports. It fits easily in the centre console of my car and it has instantly become my goto device for a recharge. The torch is actually a useful level of light instead of the usual tiny led fitted to backup batteries. I haven't had the chance to try it out to start a car yet, but it's more than worth the money as a USB power source just on it's own. Recharges quickly too, given a good source it'll draw an amp and a half, it's the first time I've seen a battery that charges and recharges at these rates. Awesome bit of kit, highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product but a charger would have been a bonus *by S***Y on 25 January 2020* When you see it's size you can't imagine it will crank a large van but it works brilliantly. With an almost totally dead battery it starts my Boxer 2.2 liter diesel van first turn. It's even good for another start before it drops below 50% which is the minimum. It charges from a USB C type connector which is annoying as it's not a commonly used lead unless you own a new Mac. The unit would benefit massively from having a dedicated charger as a backup.
