Pallmann Pall-X 96 Satin

Easy to apply, wonderful results.

I've been using X96 since somewhere around year 2000; 24 years. Long before the "Nexgen " formula. I have no idea what how the Nexgen is different. It seems no different from the original. It's important to note that I have never used it as a hardwood floor finish. All my applications are on shop cabinetry, fixtures and jigs; anything I want to look like the day I built it. It's basically odorless, water clean up, very close to clear, super tough and so easy to work with.It levels wonderfully. Use a roller, brush or an old pair of gym socks to apply, well maybe the socks are a stretch but I'm saying it is really forgiving.I was over the moon when I found Amazon sold it as it is super hard to find; i only know of two flooring suppliers within a 40 mile radius of me that carry it.Typically I apply one light coat, sand lightly and then a second coat; a third if I really want a bullet proof finish.I'd be lost without this stuff. Highly recommended.Important note: When I first started using the X96, the store rep told me that it had a 2year shelf life. That was a concern because it is a bit expensive and goes a long way. Fortunately over the years I have stored it in a cool dark basement for over 4 years with absolutely no problems. I'm on my third gallon after 24 years. Never being without it. Like the Frank's sauce motto. " I put that sh*t on everything ".

I had 2/3rds of a gallon left from 2011 and ordered 2 more gallons. I was pleasantly surprised the 10 year old product was just as good as the new ones.

I like pallman finish as it's used by professionals to finish wood floor surfaces. It dries to a hard finish durable to scratches liquids etc.. The satin gives a nice sheen and I am very happy with the result. Great German product.

Don’t Buy this product! We had our floors professionally refinished with this product. We have had 2 dark stains and many scratches and dents. It looks worse than our original flooring that was 15 yrs old. Our contractor has contacted the company several times they refuse to stand by their product or make it right. I am extremely disappointed and would never recommend this product, if there were a 0/10 I would have used that. We did not buy this on Amazon but it is the same product.
