We bought this sound box for my wife to help with tinnitus. She has found it very useful in masking the sound in her head. It has a very good sound quality.

Fit for purpose
The loudness is good for my tinnitus but not much in selection of sounds there is too many water sounds i prefer thunder etc so i listen to a humming sound so may look for another box but its serving the purpose

Perfect for my tinnitus
This is the 2nd one I've had, first was left behind at a motel and despite ringing up straight away when I realised I'd left, it had gone (no doubt the cleaner is using it as a Bluetooth speaker for their tunes

NOT easy to use
This system is not user-friendly. The controls (like the bottom button to change sounds) are unreliable. Critically, it lacks a simple sleep timer, forcing it to play all night. You only get one pre-loaded sound and must download more to connect app. For a premium price, it misses standard features like easy +/- buttons and a timer found on cheaper competitors. The return process is burdensome, as the seller requires you to pay return postage. I do not recommend this product.

I have been using this product for several weeks now and it has worked wonders for me! It is specifically made and geared towards tinnitus sufferers, and has helped me to get a good night sleep again. I love the fact that it is rechargeable and I can place it in any room without having to re-plug it in. I use it throughout the day and the tinnitus is becoming less and less prominent. I developed tinnitus several months ago after an ear wax build-up. At first, it scared me because I had never even heard of tinnitus and thought that I was having some kind of a mental issue. This sound box offers me the best and immediate relief while listening to the CRICKET sounds channel. Crickets have a certain high pitch that HITS THE RIGHT SPOT which neutralizes the annoying tinnitus sounds. I believe that It is natures way of habituating the brain to learn to ignore the tinnitus. It is kind of like fighting fire with fire. I have tried other sound boxes and they just did not work for me. A lot of work went into creating this product and I am so grateful to the manufacturer. It is worth every penny that I spent for it. My prayers go out to all of those that suffer from this horrible condition and be assured that there is hope.

I've bought this exclusively for sound enhancement for tinnitus (it markets itself as such) and I have some mixed feelings about this device. I didn't like it at first, but now that I've tailored it to my needs I think I feel more warmly towards it. The good stuff: - Great sound quality for a little device! It's on the heavy side and I think it's because they didn't cheap out on the speaker. Ocean waves actually sound like deep ocean waves, not like white noise. - Decent battery life - For better or for worse, all sounds are on an external card so you can add your own sounds to it - You can technically use it as a Bluetooth speaker The bad stuff: - The system noises it makes are SO LOUD. If you're pairing your phone to it and your partner is asleep, forget about it, they're going to wake up. If you're powering it off or on, you're going to wake up whoever's asleep in the bedroom. They're so loud and you can't turn them off. - Most frustratingly, the built-in noises aren't actually that great? There's only 1 or 2 that are actually good for tinnitus. The others are weird combinations of white/grey noises that roughly sound the same and aren't very pleasant. Yes, you can stream others using the app, but then you need to pair your phone to it... see point #1. But because sounds are on an external card, I deleted all of them, downloaded the mp3 files of my favourite tinnitus relief sounds from Youtube, and copied them onto the card. - Not USB-C, which is annoying since it's the only non USB-C device I own. It's not the best device for tinnitus, but if you're willing to spend a few hours downloading mp3 files from your favourite Youtube ones, and copying them onto the card, you can turn this into a custom phoneless white noise machine that you can travel with.

This is a very good sound machine for those with tinnitus. The sounds are custom designed by MDs who specialize in tinnitus. There is also a well-written booklet that explains tinnitus. If Sound Oasis is listening, here are some improvements I would suggest: 1. The volume adjustment goes to quite high levels, but for me I prefer lower sound levels. The level I prefer is near the bottom, about two up from baseline. But one level is a bit too high, and the lower one a bit too low. It really needs levels in between. Would be nice if it had something like 32 sound level adjustments. 2. Would like a timer on it. Because fortunately for me, my tinnitus is vascular-related. Whenever I get up at night to go to the bathroom, it gets noticeable when I go back to bed. But it usually subsides within 10-30 minutes after I lie down. So a 1-hour timer is fine for me. 3. Would like a soundtrack that mimics riding a local train, where you can hear the rhythmic sound of wheels over the rails. The bullet train soundtrack is too innocuous and nondescript. Would also like a soundtrack that mimics the sound of a crackling campfire. I really like the tiny, compact size of the Sound Oasis, yet the sound volume is impressive. I don't know how anyone can sleep when it's gets that loud. That combined with the rechargeable battery makes it convenient for travel. Right now I am using the brown noise sound track. I still need to experiment with soundtracks with nature sounds to soothe my tinnitus, and for that, the Sound Oasis can't be beat. If you install the free Sound Oasis apps on your cellphone (there are two) you can access more tracks via Bluetooth. The variety of sounds is impressive. And with those tracks, you can use an equalizer on the apps to customize the soundtrack to suit your tinnitus. I also like the memory card concept. So you can change the built-in sounds on the machine, which you can't do with other sound machines.
