B&W Trailer Hitches Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch - GNRK1384 - Compatible with 2014-2018 Ram 2500 Trucks

6/6/2016 --- First off for the current year Ram trucks, the kit looks nothing like the picture. There are no rails, its just a rectangular piece that gets bolted into place on a pre-excising mounting location over your rear axle. Look up install videos on youtube or on Etrailer. I was able to install by myself without any aid, or without removing my muffler. I did, and do recommend, removing your spare tire for the install though, especially if your working on the ground. Very high quality product. My only complain is the manufacture, B&W Didn't include 1 of the 4 retaining springs for the ubolts. However, one phone call and they overnighted me the part without question. VERY PLEASED with their customer service. I also didn't spend 10 minuets on the phone trying to get a human. A+ customer satisfaction, 10 of 10 for this company. Pro Tip for install: Have sharp bits, plenty of cutting fluid, and pre-drill all the larger wholes, and I cant stress this enough, USE CUTTING FLUID! If you don't have any, WD40 will work. Save your bits, and your arms. It's also a good idea to have a can of black spray paint with rust/corrosion inhibitor to cover any bare metal after drilling. 3/11/2019--- It's been almost 3 years since I've owned this product and I haven't had any issues with it. I've even used B&W's drop in 5th wheel attachment to haul a couple 5th wheels around. A buddy of mine bought another brand goose neck and I helped him install it seeing as I've done it once before. The instillation was no where as simple, the paint on the metal was chipped and starting to rust. I convinced him to return it and go with this kit. He was extremely happy after seeing the difference. Wish I took some pictures.

Very happy, easy to install. one item not listed is a file to clean up the hole saw cut, and a little bit of paint as to not rust up your bed. read the directions 3 times, then started making holes... helpful hint to the self installers, I dropped the ball then I used a ratchet strap and 2 2x4's on my bed rails and then just held this thing in place while I bolted it all together. easy enough to do by myself took me a few hours. bottom line, There is a reason people spend more money for B&W equipment... if this truck ever gets totaled, hits a million miles or for some other reason is not in my drive way, i'll be buying another B&W ...

Just had to remove my spare tire and heat shield. Other than that bolted in and trimmed the drivers side rear inner fender for the lock/unlock handle. Had to drill 5 holes. It fit with a 5” exhaust pipe and air bags set up without removal.

Fit as it should works great

Easy install. You could easily install in 1 hour if ya don’t stop and enjoy a Busch light every ten min. Super easy if ya have a lift. 4 bolts for plate and 2 bolts for release mechanism. Only problem was the exhaust you have to drop to slide plate in. Hardest thing about job is the exhaust hangers. Pre spray with pb.

Easy install like video but metal-guide was bent on flange (folded inward). Used bench vise to straighten out so to fit (frame hole). Drilled upward then down with 3 1/2" hole saw. Here's where it went bad, saw bit was larger than pilot hole. Saw bit cut lighting off center (forward) not perfect but it fit. Had to loosen 4 rear bed bolts and wedged up to fit plastic spacer, nut brackets as well. I had gravel, dirt, pallets of brick in my bed (a little smushed). Removed spare, heat shield and disconnect rear exhaust hanger. Wrapped chain around ladder rack and dropped the tail through hole so to hold hitch up. Fed chain through hole when placing hitch into position and placed pliers' handle through chain link. Then pulled chain even more from the top ensuring a tight an proper fit. This made it very easy to install just over 2hrs not including gatherings all the tools. Painted everything drilled. One man installation on 2018 Ram 2500 4x4
