This really works!
I was skeptical using this on 2 vintage tablecloths that have been used in my family since the 50’s. Darn, if it doesn’t just work but it’s amazing. Both items brightened so much, one all white, the other white with red/green holly print. All stains & rust spots were removed. And the red/green colors brightened as well. So worth it!!

All my kids heirloom saved for my 1st grandchild
Amazing results never thought it will save all my saved heirlooms after 30 yrs in a plastic box. I tried with peroxide and oxy clean with no success. I used it in the washing machine let the cloths pre-soak for 12 hrs with very hot water. and then in a very delicate cycle no spin rinse them. It worked in irish linen, swiss batiste and knitted pieces .. Whites are even better than new .

Gentle but effective
This product, used as directed with the pre soak and then long 6-8 hour soak while agitating it mildly every hour or 2 worked liked a miracle on my vintage napkins and tablecloths that my daughter bought at flea markets for her wedding linens. I was shocked that not only the aged yellowing was removed but many of the darker stains lifted right out. I used extremely hot almost boiling water to begin with and dissolved the powder in a large tub with required amount of water. I did not dilute it with more water. I followed the “recipe” on the label Then hand rinsed with warm and then cool water several times before I added to my front loader machine to rinse and spin. I am not being paid or given anything for this review but extremely clean and stained free linens that look great

Works great on my Pure Parima Egyptian cotton sheets.
Use as directed, and it takes deep yellows (and I mean, brown) stains out. I was worried I'd have to do this twice over to clean out my sheets, especially since whilst soaking, it didn't *look* like it was effective, but. After presoaking, soaking, then washing it with my usual detergent in the washing machine. It works! Just know you'll have to use a lot of if you have big linens to whiten. My fitted sheet is for a Queen size mattress, and I've already used most of the powder in the canister to clean that one item.

It's gentle and it works!
A very delicate cathedral length soft net/embroidered wedding veil first worn 3/4 of a century ago by my mother, later by her daughter, and now recently by her grandaughter, was brightened and made like new using this nice Restoration powder. I pre-washed, rinsed, soaked and rinsed again according to the directions, holding my breath throughout. The veil lost all its yellow, came out white and lovely. Thanks!

What happened to 7.5 pound pail
I love the product and it has done amazing things for antique linens and quilts. However, it is expensive and as others have commented it does not last long, especially with theI’ve bought the 7.5 pound pail to economize, but it isn’t currently offered by Amazon as it has been in the past. Going directly to the manufacture, Engelside products is worthless, they do not return email or phone calls.I do not do the preach. I let things soak overnight and have had good results. If you’re listening Amazon, offering the 7.5 pound pail would be great.

Works without damaging fabric -don't give up!
I stored a cotton tablecloth (only 2 yrs. old, print design with a white background) in a dry pantry for 8 months with other kitchen hand towels. Only the tablecloth developed a huge yellow stain about 18 in. x 14in. which had not happened the previous year stored in the exact location. After trying rinsing, soaking, hand washing with Tide, treating it with white vinegar and baking soda as suggested online, I discovered this product and figured it was worth a try. I followed the steps suggested. After the initial pre soak, the water was noticably yellow but the stain was still there, step 1 -stain was still there not much lighter, step two started over with fresh solution- no change. Step 3- before giving up, I decided to start over with new solution mix again but this time I left it soaking for much longer than the time suggested almost 24 hours- the stain was noticably lighter! So, I repeated the process again and left it another 24 hours. The stain was completely gone with no damage to the tablecloth bright white background - perfect! Colorful print- perfect - no fading, no smell, still soft. It worked great by being persistent with fresh water and solution each time and just letting it soak. From start to finish, I never let the fabric dry out just rinsed and repeated using the same 3 scoops/recommended quantity in a bucket with a gallon of very warm water. The fabric was like brand new again!

This stuff really works!
Had beautiful embroidered ecru linen napkins made by my grandmother 100+ years old, with 100+ years of stains and yellowing. I was skeptical about using this product. It worked beautifully. You’d never know they were such a mess. I thought the price was high, but definitely worth it!
