I thought long and hard before buying this patio heater and read the many reviews with interest. I struggled a bit to put it together but I’m pretty rubbish at assembly, so my son helped me. It would have been good if there was a video on YouTube to demonstrate this. Also I don’t understand why the controls are the same and repeat. However it looks impressive, is a good solid weight and the heat it gives off is really good without being too strong.

It is quite heavy so may need 2 people to put together. It seems very robust and provides good warmth.

Useful background warmth when it gets a bit chilly. Ideal for Lockdown and visiting bubbles to the garden!

Base has started to rust just from moisture in the air after 1 year (it's under cover protected from rain)! Heat output is not great either, so pretty much useless apart from on mild summer nights.

Very pleased with our outdoor heater. Looks great and the heat output is good for our small garden.

If only looks & style counted this would be a winner.. It is well made, BUT its not very good at actually heating a patio or even in my case a sheltered on 3 sides gazebo. I love that it is safe so that toddlers & pets can't accidentally burn themselves, as only the top half of the unit contains the heating elements; it has a big dial to control the heat output and if you are standing close to it then it certainly throws enough heat out to keep your top half warm. BUT thats about it.... I sat in my gazebo in a chair right next to it and got some heat (not on my legs though!).... my wife, who was sitting next to me didn't.... and this was on a fairly still evening in July. On the actual patio it was next to useles ... I would guess that even multiple units wouldn't get much warmth out ... heat goes up, doesn't it. I think if a gentle bit of fan-assistance could safely be built in, then it would be better and a wide top lid may also help. (The instructions say that it shouldn't be used indoors as there is no thermostat fitted, otherwise I might of considered it as an room heater) But I just can't recommend this unit to anyone as it is which is a shame ... it would get 5 stars for style but just one star for function.
