Best chocolate milk ever

I'm just getting into weight lifting again, and a major problem I was having the last time I did it consistently was that my recovery times seemed extremely slow. I could be sore for three or more days after a workout. So this time I thought I would try a protein drink, and I wanted something pre-mixed to make it as easy as possible. I'll let almost anything turn into an obstacle to keep me from working out and I'm sure others can relate. Having these sitting in the fridge has actually been a great reminder to exercise. I haven't tried other brands, but I heard great things about Core Power drinks and I have to agree with the consensus. These taste good, without a weird aftertaste or much chalky residue. They seem to have helped my recovery times quite a bit as well, as I've been able to work out more frequently than in past experience. Side note, I don't know why people are freaking out about artificial sweeteners in other reviews. The four main ingredients in the pack I bought are milk, cane sugar, honey, and cocoa, with some enzymes and vitamins at "less than 1%". Anyway, I'm probably going to be using these for a long time to come and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a convenient and healthy post-workout drink.

I have had had a REALLY hard time finding protien drinks that are easy to swallow, however this one taste so great that I decided to auto-oreder. It has became part of a monthly grocery budget! I go to work very early and drink a bottle on the way, require a healthy snack mid morning, early afternoon and eat lunch late afternoon, early evening. It keeps me me energized most of the the day without feeling sluggish. I also workout and it helps with that as well, but I'm not a hardcore gym rat. This really works for me, but may contain too much sugar or other undesired ingredients for others. I read an article which states: "PROTEIN SATISFIES & SAVES CALORIES In the beginning of your weight loss journey, protein is important because it helps you feel fuller longer. Having protein around slows down digestion making us more satisfied and less likely to go back for seconds. If this happens over the course of multiple days your calorie savings can help with weight loss." With that being said, if you just need something to keep you from eating too much garbage, then fine, add Core Power Protein shake with whole foods to your diet, but if you want to get "built", then think about increasing your protein with whey and weightlifting, however, if that is the case, this one may not be for you. This drink is for the lightweights, not the bodybuilders. In all, if your looking for a great tasting protien shake that keeps you full, then I recommend this one. If you are a hardcore serious health nut, then you may want to do more research.

Update fall 2019: started seeing the regular sugar become available again. So happy! I thought for sure I would never see these again when they shipped me the monk fruit, then 2x in monk fruit as replacements for the incorrectly sent first order, and then none of the regular sugar available for months. Started subscribing again. Will keep an eye on labels. I love the 11.5 oz 26 g with sugar. I drink 1 or 2 a day. The calories dont bother me as I am fairly active for an old broad, and it's one of the few palatable shakes in chocolate. I use these in addition to meals, like a snack. Recently my auto subscriptions changed to 14 oz with monk fruit and sucralose in the ingredients. I had to cancel my subscription. I can't drink these now and will have to find another shake. It's a shame because they really tasted great and didn't previously have ingredients I could not have. So please, read the labels, especially when auto subscription changes, to make sure it's a change you can handle. Hope I can find some of the older version that's not an arm and a leg now.

UPDATE 2: Amazon made it right. I returned the soured case and exchanged it for a new case of shakes. This is yet another great product from Core Power. I am extremely please with the way Amazon handled this.I received the new case the following business day. This is yet another reason I love ordering from Amazon. Extremely high marks to both Core Power and Amazon. UPDATE: Original review below. After reading through more reviews, this seems to be an Amazon issue rather than Core Power. It makes more sense that improper storage caused this product to get rancid, rather than being produced as such. I'm hoping this was just a single bad batch that I received from Amazon. All the other flavors I have ordered were good. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW: This is not the first Core Power Protein Milk Shake I have tried. I am actually a big fan of their products, which makes this review more difficult. The chocolate flavor is just terrible. It's just too much. It's like trying to drink brownie batter that had 2 lbs too much chocolate already in the batter. I cut it with milk to help, but it still had the bitter chocolatey aftertaste. I cut it with more milk and made it bearable, but just barely. I couldn't completely get rid of the bitter chocolate. As I said, I am a fan of Core Power, just get a different flavor.
