UPDATED to 5 Stars!
12/6/2022 - Resideo was kind enough to honor my warranty request with the help of an independent HVAC contractor, as the T10 is a "Professional" model. So, the same thing started happening a few days into my replacement (new) T10 thermostat. Fortunately, I had done enough research, troubleshooting, and had a couple of cheap furnace parts on hand, and, fingers crossed, it may have been a flaky pressure switch on my inducer motor that was causing the issues. It was just a coincidence that changing out the original T10 for a basic non programmable t-stat "seemed" to cure the issue. Time will tell, but if this thing continues to work, it's fantastic, and hands down, better than Ecobee's latest 2022 Premium, IMO. 5+ STARS ---end of update I really wanted to like this thermostat, as I have always had Honeywell t-stats in the past. I was warned that the T10 had to be installed by a "professional" in order to have ANY warranty whatsoever, whereas the T9 is approved for installation by the homeowner. Honestly, other than additional features, the installation process is virtually identical, so I don't understand this distinction. I ordered the unit in Sept of '22, and installed immediately. I wanted the T10, as I had also purchased a Honeywell HM750 whole house steam humidifier, and it is one of the few t-stats that can control a steam humidifier. Well, as summer transitioned into fall, the t-stat appeared to work great! However, once the temps dropped consistently enough to require full time heat setting, it began to fail. I honestly thought it was my furnace that was failing, as half the time, the ignitor and gas valve failed to activate, even though the inducer seemed to run fine. I was chasing down pressure switches, ignitors, and even the IFC main furnace board! No improvement. However, bypassing the T-stat at the IFC directly, the furnace ran fine! This was not a solution, as I couldn't sit in front of my furnace 24x7 to control it manually every day. Ultimately, I went to a local box store and bought the cheapest basic thermostat I could find, and plugged that in, and the system has been running great! Unfortunately, I can't control my fancy steam humidifier, and had to resort to using the included humidiPro. Through an independent HVAC specialist, who came out and assisted me in this project, I was able to ultimately get a replacement ticket initiated through Resideo, however, I am awaiting acknowledgement of the required attachments I sent them, verifying my purchase and the device info. Currently, I am using an Ecobee Premium. By comparison, I find it's app highly convoluted, and it takes considerable focus to find what I need. Also, there is no "circulate" function on the Ecobee, whereas there is on the T10. The Resideo app is by no means great, as it must be force closed to get the latest data from the T10 every time you make a change, but it's simple and concise to use. They just need to update it so it will refresh in the background, and not require a force close each time you pull it back up. Also, I prefer the functionality of the Honeywell remote sensors over the Ecobee sensors because the Honeywell pull both Temp AND Humidity, along with motion activity, whereas the Ecobee sensors do NOT pull humidity! I want both temperature AND humidity levels balanced! There is no reason for Ecobee to not include this in their remote sensors.... I will update this review once I get some action on my RMA process.

Excellent stat with remote sensors
I purchased this stat after considering all that were available. Mostly I wanted one which had some source for outdoor temperature, was adaptive to the length of time it took to reach temperatures, would allow for air circulation when not heating or cooling, and most of all - remote sensing. The remote sensors for the T10 (and T9) work on 900 mHz and are able to connect up to 200' away. I added three remote sensors, one in the master, one in the living area, and one in my home office, so necessary these days. I disabled the temp sensor on the stat itself - which was located in a hall near the HVAC system, but not where I spend time. The temperature probes use 2 easily replaceable AAA batteries, and are easy to set up. They hang on the wall via easily undone 3M tabs - so if you don't like where you put it, you can get more tabs at a local hardware outlet, and move them with little fuss. The result - a system which runs much more efficiently than it formerly did, the temperatures in the rooms that I occupy end up at the temps I want (not what the entry hall is at as previously). The circulate mode runs approximately 10 minutes out of 30 (1/3 of time) and evens out the temperature just due to circulation. And the stat is auto changeover, with zero offset capability (though I set mine to one degree apart) and so in the fall and spring when daytime needs cooling but night needs heat - the stat auto switches between modes. The T10 is designed for professional installation and has a LOT of options. The default from the factory does not work for a heat pump, and must be configured for it to work properly. The configuration itself is easy - but it really does require you have the manual. In addition to the system type (3 Heat / 2 Cool heat pump with gas backup) I was able to set compressor lockout, when each stage becomes active, a post operation extra run time of 30 seconds (other values possible), and numerous other parameters. Note that the T9 is essentially the same stat, but without all the possible flexible configuration. Wiring was simple - and everything, including an oversize plate and one remote sensor came in the box. I purchased separately two extra sensors - do make sure they are the "Red Link" and specifically T9 / T10 compatible.

Fixed my problem of some rooms getting to hot/cold
I ordered the T10 after a significant amount of time researching smart thermostats that used remote temperature sensors. I looked at the Ecobee and Nest, but they had very spotty reviews, especially when it came to the remote temperature sensors. People had issue with the range of the temperature sensors, they way the system used the sensors to control, etc. I decided to order the T10 when I saw the temperature sensor range was very good and the interface and settings are similar to a "standard" thermostat, i.e., it had schedules for different times during the day/night and it simply cooled/heated to maintain the average of the temperature sensors selected - simple. It is working great! Very easy to install - make sure you have a "C" wire. I have a simple forced air gas heat and A/C system, but the T10 can handle much more complicated systems (heat pump, humidifier, etc). I really liked the over sized trim panel that covered the unpainted part of the wall behind my older, larger thermostat. My problem was the second floor of my house - all the rooms up there had temps that would widely swing depending on how sunny it was (rooms on the west side got very hot in the Houston sun), if the doors were open/closed, etc. The thermostat was in the hall so quite often the temperature in the hall was very different than the temperatures in the rooms. When I ordered the T10 I bought additional temperature sensors for all 4 rooms upstairs, paired them with the T10 and now all the rooms are very comfortable. For each schedule you can designate which rooms have "priority", meaning which rooms the T10 will use to turn the A/C or heat on/off. So during the day, the rooms used for study/work have priority and their temperature is controlled and the unoccupied bedrooms don't impact the cooling/heating cycles. At night the reverse is true - the bedroom temperatures are maintained and the other rooms just float. The iPhone app works very well - simple and responsive. I did not have any issues, unlike a couple of reviews I read. I'm very happy with the purchase and I plan to buy another one for the downstairs. With all of us home every day during this COVID stuff, its really nice to have the house comfortable for everyone.

[Update 8/25/20] From 1 star to 4 stars
[Update 8/25/20] Received my replacement and shipping was actually worse than before but at least this unit works and works great. Plugged in where my existing T6 was and it works right out the box. Setup is simple and straight forward (helps if you know exactly what type of heating/cooling system you have). This thing is so simple to use its mind-boggling why Honeywell recommends a professional to install and setup. Made a huge difference right away. Master bedroom never cooled properly until now. Simply paired the sensor and placed in the room and used the average temp from the thermostat and sensor, problem solved. There are many features I have yet to explore as the main goal was getting the master to cool to a comfortable temp. -1 star for the horrible shipping and packaging issues though the sellers are to blame and not the product, it just made for an annoying shopping experience. Maybe as time passes if the unit holds up and continues to work as expected and I try other features it may earn its 5 stars. [Original 8/13/20] AS stated this is not a product review as I have not been able to use the product. It arrived in a damaged box but the unit looked fine so I went to install it where I had a T6 installed. From my understanding its the same setup, but nothing happened. I checked all 5 wires are there. When i opened my air handler I realized one of the wires went no where so I decided to get my a/c to do the install as I dont mess with that kind of wiring though it seemed simple. After 2 days of trying my a/c guy gave up and pointed out that the unit is bad, it only lights up and does nothing else. When we put my T6 back everything worked as its supposed to. I can only assume the unit got banged around quite a bit. I would blame the seller for the way it was shipped.

Worth the money 💵
I upgraded from the Honeywell T4 to the T10, and I absolutely love it! The ability to configure different temperatures for individual rooms is a game-changer. The convenience of controlling it through my phone means I no longer have to go downstairs, and setting a temperature limit adds an extra layer of control. Make sure you get the sensors for every rooms. The Wi-Fi connectivity is excellent, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Installation was seamless, I didn’t even have to change anything on the wall. I use the Resideo app, which works great, though I wish it included a historical temperature graph to track trends over time. Aside from that, this thermostat represents true innovation. Highly recommend it!

Warranty Warning Be Aware
I purchased the T10, and three additional sensors, and installed myself on 1/3/2021. Worked very easy with my Trane HVAC unit. This morning we had no heat blowing. I thought it was the blower motor in the air handler. Called my local HVAC tech to replace blower motor or capacitor. They came out right away. It is 34 degrees outside and 64 now inside. They found that the stat was not telling the blower motor to turn on. Everything else worked but the stat was not turning on the blower. Tech verified the stat was not switching 24V on the green output wire when it should have. So we installed the old factory Trane (non-programmable) stat back in and everything worked fine. Sent tech home and contacted Honeywell chat support. I explained to them that the stat was no longer giving 24V to the green wire to turn the blower motor on. Everything else worked but the green output. I explained that I needed a replacement shipped under the 5 yr warranty. It was 6 weeks old. They told me that the T10 was a professional "to the trade" stat and only HVAC technicians can install or service. Honeywell does NOT work with customers on warranty issues in their to the trade product line. They said that a technician would have to come out and replace the stat and handle the warranty claim. Also, the 5 yr warranty is "parts only" so I would be on the hook for all labor hours. Now I'm stuck with a 6 week old defective stat. Or I pay the HVAC company again to come out and handle the warranty claim and replacement. Honeywell warranty is only good if you are a HVAC technician. Waiting for a call back from the Honeywell escalation department but I'm not holding my breath. Besides the faulty stat, I loved it. Just wish it had reporting so you could look at run times and temp history. Well, I wish I knew it required a technician for problems before I bought it. The funny thing is, Honeywell tech support will help any old home owner hook up the stat, but when it comes to warranty, they don't want to help you.

JUst replaced my crappy Nest for this T10 Pro
Nest was being Nest so after 5 years and a year of misery, I decided to ditch Nest and order this Honeywell T10 after my HVAC recommended it. Well first off, it was super easy to install, I am not the most handy person in the world and it only took me 10 minutes to do. I only have a conventional system so there was no issues. It connected to the Wifi just fine and was up and running super fast. Make sure to have your phone handy with the app and make sure you you zero or the schedules and holds until you make sure the system is running properly. Then have at it with your options. I will update this review if anything negative happens but we are now at day 3 and the system is running 100 times better than when I had the nest. it doesnt turn on as much and it seems quieter.

Great thermostat but I think the app needs work
Like everything about the thermostat including the ability to easily add room sensor to help balance room temperatures in closed separate rooms such as bedrooms. You have full control to lock out/ partial lockout / or leave it fully unlocked. The Honeywell app which is now owned by Resideo has some short comings compared to my Second smart thermostat which is a Trane and the Trane app. The difference between apps is Trane allows for same day Runtime report whereas the Honeywell/Resideo app has a 3 day delay on runtime report. Another problem with the Honeywell/Resideo app is it logs you out too often requiring to log back in which is frustrating. The great thing about the Honeywell thermostat over the Trane thermostat is the very very reasonable price of adding on the room sensors versus very expensive Trane room sensors and let me say this….room sensors will make a big difference in the comfort of the separate rooms. Trane thermostat does seem to disconnect and reconnect to WiFi randomly and sporadically whereas the Honeywell almost always stays connected as long as your WiFi isn’t down. If you have a little electrical knowledge easy to install. I installed mine. I had to get a little tech support help but wasn’t big deal.

Perfect thermostat with additional sensor
I bought this thermostats for my new AC. I wanted wifi and another sensor in my bedroom since the bedroom is not cool enough for my liking. Wifi works and sensor is works kept my bedroom cool enough for me while I sleep. However, other areas in my place was way cooler. During the day I adjust the bedroom temperature up so the rest of the place is not freezing. I was able to connect the app to Alexa and works so far. Now season is over….will have to see next summer.

Excellent achat! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent product and more compatible than Ecobee or Nest
Great Apps and easy to configure. Compatible with most systems and for my system I use Erv-hrv for my fans so only this system work well with this setup. The only negative thing is the Wifi that works only with 2.4ghz.

fonctionne tres bien
Super beau et fonctionnel. Facile a programmer. Ne fonctionne pas aussi tel que dit avec un systeme d'échangeur d'air a la maison. Somme toute, je suis satisfait. Étant donné qu'il est wi-fi, il indique la météo de la région
