While this is a very beautiful knife, in my opinion, it is very much overpriced. I would not recommend this knife to anyone other than a collector. The blade tapers to an extremely fine point, and I would imagine it would be very effective at piercing soft surfaces. The fit and finish are quite nice, however I have noticed that it does not appear that the tang extends even to the lanyard hole, as there is no tubing through it and the soft, grippy rubber handle material does flex and wiggle with little effort from the molded line back located just before the lanyard hole. I would expect this knife to be more in the price range of a similarly sized SOG or Cold Steel knife of similar materials, about $100-$150 max. I would never put this knife to any hard use unless my life depended on it and it was the only tool at my disposal. With all that said, it is still a very good looking knife and feels great in the hand. It's just hard to justify the price these go for, unless of course you are a knife nut like me and absolutely must have a particular knife in your collection, regardless of price.
