I have been thinking about getting a slider for my Time-lapse night photography but I was reluctant to pay between 1000 and $2000. After scene review of this I purchased it and I am very pleased with the quality materials which are excellent and with it overall. I have tried using video and I think the shake it OK if you use two tripods. But I have tried it in plan to use it mainly for nighttime lapses and I think it is excellent. I even like the fact that it has a delay option you can use for example if you’re camping and want to set up your time left to start in a couple of hours while you go to bed. Or set up your time lapse during the daylight hours before it gets dark. I’ve been very pleased ,one of my projects was to take over 300 frames over two hours, and it worked perfectly. So for a little over $250 it is an excellent bargain. As noted by others, it does not come with the NP batteries and is awkward to use a power bank with the remote. So I purchased two rechargeable NP batteries. Also note that you cannot connect it with other motion devices such as the genie mini so that you can pan and tilt. But again it is an excellent barking for the amount of money ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Overall *by L***G on July 23, 2020* I am not sure what "Sheerness" is, and I am not sure how warmth relates to this product. I did not provide a rating for these categories. If warmth means the motor getting hot, then warmth is good. The motor does not get hot. If you are using this motor in a situation where sound is important, and the microphone is a boom or close to the slider, you will have work to do in post. The wining sound is easy to pick out in post, but can cause problem with high end of female voices. I found that setting up and allowing a full run of the slider with only ambient noise works best for getting a noise sample. I do this each time I setup. Record a down and back because the pitch of the motor changes on ramp down/up. The materials and function are solid. There is play in the parallax, so be careful with that. I find the motion smooth even at angles or vertical (Canon 70d with 50mm and standard battery). The other problem I had was mounting stability to the ends of the slider. The brackets for the motor track block the center slider holes. Makes using a light stand a bit awkward, so I purchased the Konova slider arms (two). The slider has a center mount hole on the "side" of each end. Mounting here does not warp the slide rails as can happen from mounting to off center holes. Used correctly, this is a great slider for a small budget. I feel like I will be able to use this slider for many months to come. ### ⭐⭐⭐ nice slider, but not silent *by V***Z on October 21, 2019* great slider, really smooth motion, easy to operate the remote. but it's just too loud to use on interview-type video shots.
