I thought at this price point Garmin would have found a way to make the user interface easy to use without it, but it's clumsy and trying to remember all the combinations of buttons and long-press options is tiring. Spinning the bezel and tapping the screen, like the Samsung watches, would be a much better option. CS rep said this was done to make the watch more rugged, and I'm not a watchmaker so I don't know if I'm competent to argue that point, but it's still disappointing.The price of bands for this watch are beyond ridiculous, $45 for a silicone band and over $200 for a replacement for the titanium band. They are easy to swap, but not particularly comfortable, especially the titanium band, which has sharp edges next to the skin; I guess they saw the necessity to chamfer the top side for looks but not the bottom side for comfort. It scrapes my wrist through the day and occasionally draws blood, whether loose, fitted, or snug.And I think that's my biggest disappointment. I've used Garmin products for a VERY long time, and while this is the most expensive Garmin product I have purchased, it's also the most poorly thought-out and difficult to use, and I say that as someone who doesn't even use some of the advanced features like the golf courses and navigation maps; just the every day stuff like health monitoring and timers. UPDATE: My biggest disappointment just got bigger. The watch kept vibrating on every notification even though vibrations are turned off. CS rep said it was a hardware fault and the watch needs to be replaced, which they are doing, at the expense of a $450 refundable deposit and I have to pay to ship it to them, but the big let-down is...wait for it...the Connect app does not back up the watch configuration. It reads every part of the watch but can't back up the config? It took a bloody month of fiddling around to get it set up the way I wanted. Laziness, stupidity, or the arrogance to think a backup would never be needed, I don't know, but I find this inexcusable.The main reason I bought this watch over something like a Samsung S3 is the battery life, which does seem good. With my current settings, which include SpO2 sensing while I sleep, I get about two weeks on a charge, compared to a day or two on common Android watches. But it could have been so much more with so little work, and to charge so much for such uncomfortable watch bands is both arrogant and foolish. Unfortunately, by the time I was ready to admit my disappointment, I was outside of the return window, and if I had the choice again knowing what I know today, I would buy something else. ### ⭐ Hidden restocking fees!
