I like to use my large dining room table when I need to lay out pattern pieces / fabrics. I have been using a foldable cardboard style mat on my table, but can only use scissors to cut out fabrics. So, I thought I would give the PuzzleMat 24” x 36” Rotary Cutting Mat Set (6 – 12” x 12” pieces and carrying case) a try. I purchased 2 sets. They are easy to snap together and they stay in place. Now I can use my rotary cutter for cutting out pattern/fabric pieces and now for my quilting projects. My dining table measures 82x42 inches. Currently, I have laid out the mats, 4 x 3 (48x36 inches) format. I plan to purchase another set so I will have coverage of 60x36 inches.I did not want to purchase one large mat as I would have to roll it up and find a place to store such a large piece. With the Puzzle Mat, I can take it apart and store them in their convenient zip up carrying case...such a space saver. And, it is easy to take along for sewing projects outside my home. I purchased this to replace a old cutting mat that was warped and scared and not giving me good cuts. I liked the idea of fit together 12" squares that would be shipped flat and not give me an issue with warping. I use a cutting mat daily and am a bit heavy handed with my rotary cutter, consequently I really need a self healing mat. I love the flexibility of size and the fact that it can be stored away without concern for warping. It is however not self healing and difficult for me to use with multiple layers of fabric.

I have a 48 inch by 48 inch cutting table that is lined with puzzle mats. After 12 years of almost daily use a few of the squares are looking and feeling old, so I am replacing them with new shiny ones. My only very small complaint with this shipment is that when I removed the paper label some of the blue marking came off with the paper.

Wow, I love this mat. I now have a large mat. I use my kitchen island which is 10 feet long. I can put enough together to cut what I need. The tiles fit together perfectly! I can pack it all up when I need to. Rotary cutting is easy!!

Like the fact that it is so portable in size and can be expanded upon and be the size needed by purchasing addition packs

I haven't used these yet, but pieces fit together perfectly and material is hard and appears durable. I feel will work well for my fabric cutting.

Great idea but needs tweaked. It snaps together with the seams not being a problem. Not being self-healing also does not seem to be a problem. But each segment is numbered with one through ten inches rather than 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. This makes use a little confusing but I am sure you would get use to it. The deal breaker is the texture. It is way too smooth. The fabric moves so much while positioning the ruler that an accurate cut is impossible. In the age of die cutters (AccuQuilt) accuracy is not optional. I am strongly considering returning mine.
