Ordered two sets so I could pair 4 chime receivers with 1 doorbell and have 1 spare. Very easy instructions to pair. The 4 receivers are plugged in upstairs and downstairs to make sure I can hear the doorbell wherever I am in the house. Also keeping the default ringtone on the doorbell which I much prefer than my usual ding dong ding dong tone as it sounds for longer (so much likelier to hear) and is also very melodious and cheerful - well I think so but it's a matter of personal taste after all! Oliver in Customer Services was very responsive and helpful with my queries. Nice looking neat compact units smaller than other brands I've had which isn't a problem particularly as I have 4 receivers. Time will tell as to the durability but as ever I live in the land of hope.

I got this sensor for advance warning for people coming up the driveway. It's very easy to use with 50 chimes to sequence through before deciding on which one to use. Positioning the sensor to focus back up and across intended detection area is key - it's effective so you don't want unnecessary activations from passing cars etc outside the property. So far it's working very well. We've had a few spurious detections from birds landing on the driveway but that gives a reassurance that the sensor is working as intended.

Very well made and packaged. Batteries were already installed, just needed to pull the tag to make them connected. The screws supplied to mount the PIRs are rubbish so threw them away and used real ones. A bit of misleading info about is that the range is 1/2 mile, this is true for the distance between the PIR and the receiver, however, the range of the PIR is only about 33 ft/10 mtrs so great to track approach to an area but not so good if you want to cover say your whole garden, unless it is only 10 x10 mtrs.

I was replacing a previous driveway alert, which after many years of good service no longer worked because the PIRs were defunct. Of the replacement devices the Guardline system looked to be the best in terms of features and reliability but then I spotted this system. The fact that all the reviews were positive actually made me suspicious. However, the price was so very reasonable and if it was rubbish it would go straight back!There is a reason this is getting good reviews. It works really well and is inexpensive.First good point, batteries are included. The build quality is excellent. There are some design decisions that show this is a well thought out product. For instance, the mounting screws are stainless steel - ideal for outdoor use. The mounting bracket has a brass insert, which again will mean that corrosion will not be a problem and all mounting hardware is provided. Being really really really picky the wall plugs could be better and the included screwdriver should be a crosshead. The receiver plugs straight into a standard outlet and is sized so that it will not obstruct the other outlet in a 2-gang socket or the switches, so no power adaptor and cables. This is REALLY well designed.The instructions are clear and accurate. Setting up the alarm is simplicity itself. Choose a tone (more about these later), hold the volume button for a few seconds, activate the PIR and pairing is complete. There are 52 alarm tones to choose from. In reality, I could only tolerate about 10 of them but if you don't mind musical chimes then there are plenty to choose from and the sound quality is pretty good, you also get a visual alert (in time to the music!). There are four levels of volume control that should suit most people in all but the noisiest environments. Two rooms away, I could still hear the alert above the sound of a boiling kettle.Well-designed, easy to set up but how does it perform? With thick walls and vegetation between the receiver and the transmitter I did not expect to get anywhere near the stated range of 150m. The fact I got half this was a pleasant surprise indeed! This kit has doubled the detection range of my previous system for less than half the price! I do get a very few false alarms caused by birds and squirrels because the main sensor is set low to pick up the heat from vehicle exhausts so this is to be expected. Gales with gusts of more than 70mph produced only a few false alarms from moving vegetation. More importantly the Mydome has registered every vehicle and person entering the property to date.This product really deserves its Amazon Choice rating.

I should have bought these a few years ago, brilliant, handy and cheap..easy to use etc...get them.

I move the plug-in receiver upstairs at night, which places several brick walls between both covered locations, yet the signal is still easily picked up.Simple very few steps to set up with an easy-to-follow guid.Batteries already installed in both detectors; simply pull out a small insulation tab to activate them.Easy to replace when required.Each detector can be allocated a different alert sound; select from multiple chimes or even a dog bark.The volume has several levels, the loudest is easily heard all around the house.Alternatively, the unit can be set to just flash with no sound.Better than expected quality and good value for money.The system is expandable and i may in time do just that.
