Hard to mess up
After spending hours/days/weeks making something, I dread applying a finish. I’ve messed up large projects spraying a finish because of a drip, sag, or orange-peel. This finish is relatively easy to apply, looks great, is easy to touch up, isn’t very temperature or humidity sensitive, and can be applied inside without fumes.

Very good product!
Mr. Odie down there in Florida makes an amazing product! I’m not aware of any other product in existence that does as good a job! I was given a suite of cherry office furniture. Very old but in decent condition. Overall, it looked pretty shabby. Odie’s oil made it look absolutely new!

Pretty darn great!
This is a fantastic product for those of you (like me) who hate an "applied topical" finish. This stuff smells awesome, penetrates the surface and leaves a silky smooth result that's in the wood, not on the wood.It seems expensive, but it goes a loooong way.

Great non toxic option!
We wanted a nontoxic option as we have pets. It definitely didn’t disappoint and didn’t leave any oily residue. Make sure you really buff it in and wipe it all off.

Pleasantly good for bare wood, adds shine on top of Danish oil
I've used Odie's on both new wood and old wood surfaces that were already coated with other products. On new wood, this gives a very similar look to Danish Oil: It darkens the wood color and provides a smooth slightly waxy feel.On old wood surfaces, it provides some minor shine and makes old wood look lively again. I used it on two pairs of speaker cabinets from the 1970's with good results.Be warned that this stuff is REALLY viscous. This is the biggest problem with Odie's. It is about as thick as cold honey. The label says that a little product goes a long way, but it's so thick and slow to work with that it's difficult to spread a small amount over a large surface unless you heat things up. However once you do work it, it gives good results. Also be aware that the label gives some vague guidance about how long to leave it on before buffing it off. Typically I leave it on 12 to 18 hours before wiping it off. This seems to give it more time to soak in, but that's just a guess.Due to the thick nature of this product, I can't imagine it would be ideal to apply it in cold climates because it would be even harder to work in,slower to soak into the surface, and slower to 'dry' or cure or do whatever it does when exposed to air (if anything).I suspect this product is a blend of mineral oil, beeswax, and perhaps orange or lemon oil. It has a pleasant vague fragrance that is hard to describe but may be beeswax.I like having this on hand to rejuvenate old wood, however I am not sold on using this on new wood because i just prefer other products. However if you wanted to go "solvent free", this product would work well. One final note: I used Odie's as the final coat over 4 coats of Danish Oil. The results are amazing. The Danish oil finished with XXXX steel wool looked great, but as a test I applied a layer of Odie's. The Odie's moved the satin finish to an attractive semi-gloss finish and gave the wood an even more glassy feel. This is a great combination and the surface could be easily re-coated with Odie's or a similar product after a year or two.

Great stuff
This is my absolute favorite wood finish. Easy to apply. Protects wood wonderfully and smells great. A very small amount goes a long way. Well worth the cost.

Great Product - I love it!!!
First time I’ve purchased Odie’s Oil. Man I wish I hadn’t waited so long to try it. Don’t let the price full you. I very small amount of Odie’s Oil goes a long way. It’s super easy to apply and the finish looks so good. I used it to finish two cutting boards I made to sell and to refinish the Charcuterie board I made for my wife a year ago. See photos. They all look and feel great.
