Tempered-Glass Protector

The tempered glass which I got applied on my ipad pro 12.9 last year at a local shop was easily smudged and the clarity was impacted to certain extent. So finally decided to replace it though it was not broken. Got this package of 2 tempered glasses yesterday. Though a frame was provided to guide the installation, it was not a snug fit and I thought it might end up spoiling the installation. So applied the tempered glass without using provided frame. There were few obvious bubbles immediately on applying the glass, but those could be easily pushed out to the edges and could get a clean application. And coming to clarity/transparency, its excellent and I could right away observe a lot of difference compared to the earlier glass. There is good quality oleophobic coating which makes the touch smoother and less smudgy. Though 2 glasses are supplied, its a little pricey as the second glass will remain unused if the first one could be installed properly. iPad screen protectors are less prone to scratches and drops hence need for changing them would be less frequent. Still given the quality of glass, its worth spending the money as it allows you to enjoy the beautiful ipad display with best clarity.

The in hand feel and touch is awesome , I have been using it for 5 months now and still there is no scratch on it . The quality is also excellent. It comes with a complete package so that you can easily install it but keep this in mind when you are ready to apply this glass on your device make sure that you do this work in dustfree environment , otherwise air bubbles appear in the glass which are very hard to remove , and you may crack your tempered glass . I have used it in my ipad pro 12.9 6th gen and till now I have not faced any problem. But just one thing to keep in mind is that when you write with apple pencil it seems a little smoother, for that you can use paperfeel or paperlike but still I would tell you this is one of the best options you can get in the market.

It does a fabulous job of protecting the screen and almost always providing very good viewing experience. Initially received a faulty product and decided to return. Later ordered the very same after trying some alternatives. The good: 1. Very easy to install 2. Screen remains sharp and high contrast 3. Good protection and feels nice to use Bad: 1. Glare 2. Reflection, acts like a mirror at times (check out the attached images) 3. Won’t feel as smooth to touch as a matte screen The only negative is the glare. The screen gets quite reflective. Nearly impossible to use comfortably outdoors. You should however go for this. Not using a screen will inevitably lead to micro scratches in the least if not major ones, and matte will kill this awesome screen. I noticed, matte affects both colour reproduction and picture quality. It’s not worth it. You get used to using the pencil on glass. While imitation paper (paperlike…) feel a bit better, they dilute the images on screen.

The screen protector are easy to install due to the provided installation frame/guide. There are no air bubbles on the screen and the glass feels really premium and smooth. There are two screen protectors included in the box so you can use the second one in the future when the first one is scratched. Speaking of scratches. I have been using this for a month and there are no visible scratches on the screen. The delivery from the seller (illusdesign_ESR Authorised) was quick and safe. The box was not damaged.

Touch and feel is good. And no problem with the Apple pencil too. Did a good job. It comes in a neatly packed box with a plastic clip on guide to install the tempered glass. Which I feel is very useful considering the size of the screen and with it there is a possibility of the temper glass going wrong. Only con is the wet wipe and the clean wipe was not very helpful. Could have been better. Finally i ended up using the dust removal sticker 4 to 5 times on the screen. Eventually that too left mark. And there was a small surface imperfection on one of the edge of the screen. I would recommend it.

Although the installation is very easy and all the necessities for it and instructions are very clear, I am having trouble to get the product to stick on the lower corners. The rest of the screen area is nearly perfectly installed. While the iPad is switched on I can barely pay attention to it, it is noticeable when the screen is off. However, I think it may be due to my installation method as otherwise the product seems to be very good.

Very smooth feeling after applying the screen guard and very impressive product . Don’t waste your money with buying products of low price , ESR screen guard costs little more but there is 100% difference and excellent feeling.
