They just seem unable to stop themselves from doing it. The bottom of the Door is apparently just too nice of a handle for them not to use! You can buy replacement white door gasket and replacement hinges. Easier fixes than getting folks to pay attention to how they are lifting these. Last 2 I purchased here during manufacturing they really screwed up the heads of the stainless screws in the hinges so we have been unable to tighten those hinges. We will replace those screws when we have time to use EZ outs to remove the screws. So a simple job of tightening the hinges is now more complicated due to a manufacturing issue. I put pasta sauce in for a catering job around 2pm, and at 3am when I was cleaning up the dishes, the back-up sauce was still so hot I had to use potholders to get it out! I would love to invest in a second one so I can either have a cold and hot carrier, or have two hot carriers for large events. They are invaluable, and Amazon has the best price you will find on this bad boy. Worth every penny, but no need to spend more than you have to on anything, right? The ONLY thing I've noticed is that space between the tracks is tight if you use an aluminum pan inside a regular hotel pan.
