Golf VIMAX Soft Matte Finish Golf Balls

I usually play a low compression, soft ball. My go to balls are Maxfli Softfli and Taylor Made Distance + but I decided to give these a try. For reference I am a 18 handicapper and usually score around 90. I played a round today with these for the first time. They came off the driver extremely well and my drives were much straighter than usual. I typically have a slight fade with the driver but these flew straight. Had to adjust my aim to compensate a bit. Distance was about the same as the TM Distance + but a bit longer than the Maxfli Softfli. Iron shots were also very straight, even with mis hits. Ball trajectory was a bit lower with these but distance was good if not just a tad bit longer. Lower trajectory shots did not check up as much as the Maxfli or TM Distance + but still held the greens. However, I hit a high 8 iron on a par 3 (140 yards) and the Volvik was 2 feet from my divot where it hit the green. Chipping was very good as well but I tend to favor bump and runs so can’t comment on backspin. Rollout was good. Soft feel off the putter as well. Performed well. Overall I really liked the Volvik’s performance and especially the bright yellow color. Easy to follow in the air. It’s advertised as a “soft” ball but it did not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli or TM Distance +. But I can adjust to that, especially considering the balls seems to fly straighter for me. My usual dispersion with irons is 5-10 yards left or right of where I am aiming. That was greatly minimized with these today. Overall, very good ball.
