It is made of cloth. Yes, the description does tell the truth. This was amazing, and the photos from my twins b-day party were perfect because of it. Now, instead of just putting it away, it covers the entire wall in their bedroom. So every night they sleep with their favorite characters. The black on this is incredibly black. It's the most beautiful black I could have dreamed of. It does not shine in photos nor in person.
