You may need to remove the adapter.I ignored the pre-dilled holes, they weren't aligned properly, and I felt it better to risk mangling this thing rather than the tubing attached to my house.For my project, I wanted something that would keep leaves from being washed into a drainage pipe I installed.It wasn't quit as long as I would have liked, resulting in a shallower drainage pipe connection--but that's not an issue with the product, just my application.We haven't had a heavy rain since I installed it, but it does look like water may splash out of the drain pipe--particularly if leaves catch on the grating. It's something you should keep in mind if you're in a situation where runoff may push mulch into your yard.Looking forward to seeing it all in action during the next rain storm!

The media could not be loaded.  My gutters used to overflow when the debris filter was located up in the gutter. With this product the filter is located down the line and clears itself for the most part. Some water splashes out of the filter opening a bit during really heavy rains, but at least my gutter is not overflowing on the patio.

These worked out great for us. I put in a French drain and used this as a way to funnelTo the underground tube. The leaf guard was a must and it works well. Bigger leaves get filtered out no issue but if you have little skinny ones they might get through The installation on the downspout was a little finicky. There are a coupleTable that were a bit tough to work with but after a few min and a box cutter I was able to attach it no problem. I just reused the medal screws and it works great!!! Would definitely recommend the product.

I wanted to love this . . . but when it was pouring rain, much of the water just splashed off the plastic grid which is supposed to catch the leaves and debris- can’t measure how much went through into the French drain how much landed right at the foundation. I suppose it works as designed when the rains aren’t so heavy.

I see leaves caught and about a week later gone. Installing with existing tubing can be an issue, ensure you have equal tube sizes! 2 self-tap screws and a drill driver and its installed! 2 tabs that have existing holes mount to your down spout add extension tubing if needed and enjoy!

I messed with them to try and get it to work but it just doesn’t. Water will splash everywhere and leaves get stuck. I still use them though, just took the grate out. Gives me a place to stick the water hose in and clean the pipes out without having a big ugly Y coupling above ground.

With the removable insert allows for larger down spouts. Great fit for down spout and tubing that I ran underground
