Strong phone
Was very happy with the durability of the Kyocera. This time the phone was durable and didn't end up breaking as other phones do, however, this time the whole phone disappeared probably left on the vehicle and drove off losing it. Bad habit with phones. Use a holster, clip it on lol

They are a terrific value!
I have just ordered my 6th or 7th of these phones. (I always keep a spare ready to program) if I need it. I have lost them, had them stolen, driven over with a truck and worse. I have never had one that quit for no good reason. They are a bit bulky (especially with the H.D. Case) but they are a bruit. They hold up better than any others The refurbished units look look and work like new and at around $50.Bucks they are a terrific value.

Ordered good condition got anything but good.
Ordered Amazon refurbished good condition Kyocera dual Force pro 2. Received the phone in just a few days packaging was perfect but that's it. Took the phone out and right away could tell it had not been clean at all. Dirt was packed in to the charging port to the point the cover couldn't even close. The phone was bent and battery was dead. Thought okay no big deal I'm get the dirt out and see if it turns on. Before I even plugged in the charger I could see that two of the 4 screws were snapped off. It took half a hour to charge to 3% I feel like they just took a return and slapped a sticker on it and sent it out. This has been the worst phone I have ever received from Amazon I never had a issue with any of the refurbished phones I have ordered in the past off Amazon. Quality standards most have become subpar. Very disappointed.

decent phone at a decent price
Phone looks and works like brand new. Only issue I had was it not receiving text messages until after going through a semi long process in store getting various Verizon network switches reset on there end for the messages to start coming in. Verizon employee said that is a twice a day occurrence that someone comes in with the same exact issue.

Great battery, relatively fast, very durable, camera lens and fingerprint reader are terrible
Overall I really like this phone. It's very durable (except the camera lens which I was able to shatter almost immediately.) It's a huge upgrade over the old Duraforce phone and just about everything is better in one way or another. My complaints: - The camera sucks, especially in the dark. Might as well be using a potato. Pictures always come out grainy. - The camera lens is very susceptible to damage and the part to replace it is very hard to find. - The fingerprint reader is awful!!!!! It either doesn't work at all or works too well and unlocks the phone in your pocket or worse yet, factory resets the phone in your pocket because of too many failed attempts. I tried everything to fix this and ended up just disabling it completely and have had no more issues... too bad, it was very convenient to unlock with a fingerprint.

This thing is Simply Amazing!!
This thing is amazing , dropped it several times now and it's perfect. It's basically bomb proof without purchasing a hundred dollar otterbox and another 30 dollar screen protector right out of the box , I think a few of them 1500 dollar phones I see people flaunting about every second of the day like a status symbol should take some pointer's on how to build a virtually unbreakable cell phone . The screen is hard as a rock , I've stuffed it in my pocket against my key's and it has zero scratches, dropped it on the cement at work and it's not even fased it. You want to listen to music in the shower no problem take it there with you! This is the last phone one would ever need and the wireless charging technology is amazing ,5 โญ's is definitely not enough !! Thank you very much for this cell ,best purchase ever!;

Renewed .... Reused
Soo upon unpacking first thing I noticed was dust and dirt realizing instantly they don't even wipe these things down ... Kinda gross and surprising with sanitary practice being the hip new thing and all. There is signs of wear which I understand it's used not holding anyone to that the screen. Well it wasn't cracked or anything I've noticed the digitizer is failing especially towards the bottom of the screen .. you know where the keyboard usually is .... totally thrilled about that too and the battery is .... useable I'm not confident I'd rate it at the 80% mark but perhaps in the 70's over all it seems soild feel and weight go good in the hand along with size the screen is a little smaller then what some people may used to but I like it ..fits in a pants pocket comfortably wireless charging is Handy and I've some how dropped it probably around 20 times ....I often wonder if it's attracted to the ground but it holds up well system randomly lags and is very slow in response time and handling tasks which is strange for I haven't downloaded any apps yet besides capital one and my bank app. Finally price ..well I guess if it fully worked I would say price is fair. I'm not sure if I would order another renewed phone after seeing the lack of care in any sort of refurbishing process if there is one other then the obvious... Reset throw in box ship

If you do not receive incoming text messages, there's a fix
I bought this phone to replace the older model DuraForce Pro. I switched the SIM card from the old phone to the new one, set it up and had the same issue as some other reviews here - I did not receive incoming text messages. It was very frustrating. I eventually found an article on the Kyocera website describing EXACTLY this problem (Google "Resolution of DuraForce PRO 2 Verizon Text and MMS Messaging Issue" to find the document). It explains the issue and the solution, which is a change by Verizon Wireless to enable a certain feature (CDMA-less Device Provisioning, feature number 83856). This happens only if you switch in a SIM card from a phone which has CDMA to this phone, which does not. My guess is many of the people who buy this phone from Amazon will switch in a SIM card from a CDMA phone. I called Verizon Wireless as soon as the agent enabled the feature, I started getting backlogged text messages! This was a critical change that meant the difference between keeping the phone and sending it back for a refund. I hope this helps others avoid the frustration of this issue and prevents unnecessary returns of the phone.
