What special tools do you need for installing this kit?

Depends on application. May need a couple Torx head screw drivers in various sizes, or Allen head wrenches. A scraper to remove old gaskets and residue. Really not that difficult  just be careful and mindful as you disassemble the unit to be repaired. Follow the instructions step by step.

Hello Weasel,Differences between the repair kits? Or, the model J units themselves? Repair kit: RK-J is Impco manufactured with a Hydrin diaphragm | RK-J-2 is Impco manufactured with silicone diaphragm(better) | C-RK-J-2 is Century manufactured with silicone diaphragm.Model J unit: JB is Impco with hydrin | JB-2 is impco with silicone | JB-3 is impco with flourosilicone(best) | C-JB-2 is Century with silicone.There are more variations that are a little more uncommon. Will this work for a hyster forklift with p/n 8504584?

Hello Sir,

Th 8504584 crosses to a impco model Cobra. The model j repair kit will not work for the Cobra regulator. You have to by the RK-COBRA repair kit.
