I've had this game over 3 years and it has not lost an ounce of performance or quality. The game is simple: There are 12 bananas to pull. Players roll a dice to determine their action! If they are required to pull a banana or two, everyone has to be ready to catch the monkey! If the monkey pops up, the game is over and everyone counts how many bananas they have! If the player caught the monkey, they player gets 2 bananas toward their count! The player with the most bananas wins! QUALITY: The first thing I noticed when I unboxed this game was that it is SOLID! The base is sturdy, and decorated beautifully! It has a nice relief of banana leaves and is a beautiful green! Plus, the plastic used is very high quality! It hasn't scratched or even scuffed in the three plus years we have had it. The bananas used is the same high quality! They aren't heavy, but sturdy! No scrapes or scuffs on these either! Plus they go into the unit with a satisfying 'click'. Removing them results in a loud 'click' as well and may cause the monkey to jump up! The monkey itself is beautifully painted and detailed. He is of a soft plastic and lightweight! He may need a little extra care when loading him up in the base, but it's not a big deal. The monkey is worth two bananas, and he is hold 2 bananas! So it's easy to remember and easy to show the other players what he is worth. The game still plays like new after all this time. The height of the monkey is the same as when we first bought it. There are rare times where the monkey doesn't launch at all after all 12 bananas have been pulled. It could even be part of the game for all I know. It's actually kind of fun when he doesn't! GAMEPLAY: Easy game to play! Youngest player goes first! The die tells you what to do: 1) Draw 1 banana 2) Draw 2 bananas 3) Steal a banana from another player 4) Gift a banana to another player if you have one When drawing bananas, there is a change the monkey can launch, then anyone can catch him for 2 bananas, and the game is over. Winner is the one with the most! Then reload and play again! Games do not last long at all! STORAGE: We don't keep the game in the box. It's easier to just put all the bananas is the slots, rest the monkey on top, and store the dice in one of the holes on the bottom of the base. I can't believe we have not lost the die! But doing this makes it easier. See my image below of how I store it. No need to push it ALL the way in. Just a bit so it's firm. They we pry it out with a banana. I love the quality of this game as a whole and would definitely buy another game from this company in a heartbeat! So if you want a fast, fun game from 2 to 4 players, pick this up!

The game is easy and fun to play for the little ones. I bought this for my 18 month granddaughter to play with her cousins ages 4-8 y.o. They had fun playing together.

My 2yr old loves to play this game with me. He can’t grab the monkey when he pops out, but I love hearing him laugh when I try to catch it!

I did not want to buy this game. It did not look educational, looked pointless and I felt like we had 2 somewhat similar games already. My grandson asked for this game for his 7th birthday over and over and I kept telling him it looks too babyish. I also felt like $21 was too much money. But, I’m the grandma so of course so bought it! Let me tell you: if you told me this came cost $50 I’d probably still consider buying it! First of all, all games are what you make of them and the attitude you have while playing. Yes, it is a VERY simplistic game, so guess what? You can incorporate math into anything, so we add and subtract the bananas and multiplication is happening without him even we knowing it! Language, rule following, taking turns, letting others go first, passing the dice and being happy for anyone who wins happens on its own with this game. Our 13-year-old grandson has joined in to see what all the scream-laughing is about and to make it fair since he’s older, we have him sit on one hand, play one handed and we laugh so hard I cannot tell you! The game is made well, sturdy, well packaged, shipped quickly and if you haven’t figured it out: we love this family game!

This was bought as a birthday gift for my 3-year-old niece. The toy itself is great for a toddler, but I was sad to see that the product packaging was crushed upon arrival. I couldn't present this to her at her birthday party.

My 4 year old son LOVES this game. It's easy to learn how to play and doesn't drag on forever. A great way to learn to take turns and play together. A good choice for family game nights with small kids.

I bought this game because my grandson saw it in “Miss Rachel”. He was thrilled when he opened it. He is a little too young to “ play by the rules” but we have so much fun just picking the bananas until it “pops”! It is well made, and very little assembly is required.
