OTTERBOX Defender Series Case for HTC One M9 - Retail Packaging - Causal Blue

I got the defender case for my new HTC One M9 and so far it's wonderful. As everyone else has stated, the built in screen protector is junk. It may work fine for some phones, but I had already ordered the G Glass screen protector. I tried the built in protector out but there was a small gap between it and the phone screen, so I took a razor blade and "popped" it out by sliding it all the way around and breaking it loose from the glue that held it to the gray hard case. I love the blue rubber case, it's great and my hand really grips it. I've dropped my phone MANY times since I put it in here and it has fared VERY well. I give this case 5 stars, it's just they really shouldn't add the built in screen protector unless you ask for it. I'd buy it again though, the blue case is very easy on the eyes. And for ~$5 you can't beat it. I had a problem with it being so cheap it was considered an "add-on item". They wouldn't let me order it unless I ordered at least $25 worth of other stuff. I find that ridiculous, I'd have been willing to pay extra shipping just to get the case by itself. I addressed this with Amazon and they gave me a $20 courtesy credit, so all is well. The seller was great, case came very quickly and have had no problems thus far. Great case!!!

This case will protect your phone in any situation especially when it falls

Brought this case for a Samsung Galaxy 6s Edge...perfect fit with a great price and I can actually can manage to hold onto it. :) My brother gave his old Edge phone after my HTC died on me (boot loop issue and nothing suggested has worked). Great phone, but it is slippery as heck. A quick search on amazon for a case and decided on this one. It fits the bill for me with no complaints.

My HTC One M9 has survived exceptionally well due to this very product. I purchased the first one through vzw when I first got it. Dropped it about ~23 times. No damage has ever occurred. I loved it so much that I decided I needed another. (2 other cases I bought didn't last and broke easily) The Defender case is the only case I'll ever buy from now on for any of my devices. Pair this with a tempered glass and you have zero worries. Thankyou Otterbox for these amazing products. After a year or so, the rubber gets loose from so much opening and closing the flap foe the charger and headphones. I believe this somewhat weakens it and eventually that corner breaks. I've gone through three colors on the Defender series for my HTC ONE M9. Currently sporting the grey and white version. Yes. I still use one. It'll be 4 years of hard use in April of 2019. Works just as it should now, and it should survive until then. These cases have allowed me to not worry about accidental drops. Once I do eventually get another phone, and I know I've said this before, I'll buy an Otterbox case for it as well. Update: 06/01/2020 I still have the HTC One M9. Just bought a new case for it again. 4th or 5th otterbox I've had for it. Every time it's a better price. Aha! Totally worth the investment.

I bought this a very long time ago. For a great price and still use it to this day. It has never failed and has taken a lot of abuse. In fact when I pulled my phone out of the case the phone is still like brand new. Otter box knows what they are doing, great indestructible case. I will continue to buy otter box!

The Defender case fits my M9 very well and does a good job of working around the new button layout of the M9 versus the M8. Doesn't block the IR blaster, camera or anything else. I like the new slightly firmer rubber in the M9 case versus the older M8 case. The hard part of the case which has a belt clip is good for fully protecting the face of the phone, such as during camping or throwing it in a backpack. The "Causal Blue" color is a nice change from black and is a pleasant conservative blue without being flashy or weird. Similar to a Cadet Blue, which has a touch of gray. I think the color will age well. I'm using the clear plastic screen cover for now, but if it gets scuffed, then I'll just remove it and put one of the tough glass covers directly on the phone.

This case is ok. But I've gotten used to my dot view case which I still think is pretty cool. This "casual" blue case is really a baby blue. Not denim as I was hoping. But for only four bucks who's complaining? These use to be quite pricey when they first came out. And all the guys at work had them. This is a lot better looking and stylish than the big bulky black boxes of the past. So yeah I'll use it for a while but it won't fit into my bed side docking station. And I won't see my cool Dot View graphics light up with the alarm or phone calls. Oh well . . And since the HTC M9 has gorilla glass you really don't need the screen protector which is a dust collector around the speaker holes and causes touch typing problems. *update next day*: Clip broke off while trying to clip it to my belt! And the little ball bearing and spring is missing. Junk! Reduced to two stars! Back to my tried and true, slender dot view case. Never should have bought this in the first place. crazy. It sticks out like a sore thumb and catches on everything anyway. made in mexico. RETURNED!

Otterbox es una gran marca que cuida mucho los detalles de sus artículos, este estuche no es la excepción, está construido en materiales de muy buena resistencia y de buena estética. El clip que incluye lo convierte en un accesorio muy práctico, en mi caso, uso el celular para ver videos y con el clip puedo colocar el teléfono en una posición en la que es cómoda la vista. Recomiendo mucho este protector!

The only thing I dislike about the case is the screen protector has cut outs for speakers and front camera witch allows all sorts of dust an debris to get stuck in between the phone screen and the cases screen protector

The "casual blue" phone case photo looks like a nice dusty navy colour but the one they sent me is an ugly bright blue that I'm not that jazzed about carrying around. Also the screen protector makes it way harder to touch/swipe on the screen. It protects the phone from fall impact but that's about it.
