Worked for our external hard drive
My external hard drive stopped working. I keep digital copies of videos on it for my kids to watch. This charger worked for our tlink modem, but the problem was damage to the port where data comes out not just the power cord. It turns out you can't really fix that and a different cable didn't really help either. The new hard drives don't require external power, so I feel like I wasted money, but at least it helped me trouble shoot what part of the hard drive was not working.

had this longer than the original and it still works.
My old cord went out and I had to buy a new one for my desktop external, this one was one of the top rated ones at the time. I have to agree that it is a great cord. I still have the cord, it powers up my external and runs constantly. I have had this cord longer than I had the original in the external box.

Great Product, Beware of Preview Picture
This chord works perfect for my Western Digital external hard drive. However, don't be fooled by the preview picture. I specifically ordered this product because it shows the sideways box, which doesn't take up as much room in my power strip, but the one I received is not designed that way, and takes up the space of 3 outlets.Otherwise, it is great!

Brought my old External Hard drive back to life!!
I have a freeagent seagate 500 gb external hd. It is kind of old and stopped working. I thought it might have had something to do with the power because it was blinking on and off. I ordered this and it works!!! All my important documents and pictures were still safe an accessible on the hard drive. If I would have never ordered this, I would have lost all my photos. Great price, and it even came with a new micro usb cord that goes to the computer from the HD! I wasn't at all expecting that. Thanks
