What an awesome toy!!!!!!!!!
I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old son who is obsessed with construction equipment, but especially backhoes and he absolutely loves it! It’s a substantial size and will fit him (he’s a very big kid) for a few more years I’m confident. The machine is extremely well made which really impressed me. It’s obviously high quality and will hold up to serious playing. It took some time to put together, but not anymore than I would’ve expected. I would highly recommend this and again am so happy I bought this!

This is the most absolutely favorite toy my son has ever received
This is the most absolutely favorite toy my son has ever received. He loves to drive it around and figured out quickly how to operate the back hoe and digger functions on the tractor and has been moving loads of "stuff" all over the place with his tractor. This is definitely worth the money for a boy who loves tractors. Great size too for my 4 year old with some room for him to grow and still be able to use it. I heard (from my husband) that assembly was difficult but the outcome of such a great tractor for my 4 year old tractor loving boy was wonderful! I definitely recommend this (also it is a pedaling tractor, which I like better than the battery powered tractors).

Big and sturdy toy
We recently bought this toy loader for our son's 5th birthday. It was a combined birthday present (parents+grandparents), since it is a bit expensive. We don't usually buy toys of this price. Our son had seen it on a youtube video and was fascinated with it. We ordered it and it came just fine. The box was a little torn but no pieces were missing. It is a big box and a big toy in case you live in an apartment. The back wheels and the chain were already assembled. The rest of the toy took us about 2 hours of a Saturday morning to put it together. The instructions are clear although you need to look at the photo on the box as well. You need a Philips screwdriver, pliers, a hammer and patience to assemble it. Our son loves it. It is sturdy if assembled correctly. I wouldn't recommend it for a 3-year old. It is too big and heavy to pedal. Our son will be 5 in October so he can pedal without problems. Sometimes we push him if there is an uphill. I think even for a just turned 4-year old, it is too big. The front shovel is also heavy for a small child. I would say, 5 is the ideal age to start. We are satisfied with this purchase. Our son is very happy with it.

Awesome toy!
We bought this for our 2 1/2yo nephew for Christmas. He absolutely LOVED it!! According to my husband, you pretty much have to put most of it together (I wasn't there to witness the assembly, so I cannot speak on it). But he said it wasn't too bad. My nephew received a "Hot Wheels" truck and custom made goose neck trailer for Christmas also, and this fit perfectly on the trailer! Great quality and the seat on the back with the digger is awesome! We were also glad to get something that the parents didn't have to keep charged. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone thinking about the purchase!

Horrible directions, missing piece
My 3 year old has been taking about his backhoe for months. We decided to give him his Christmas present early and it was a big disappointment. The directions were very difficult to follow because they have no words and it was very difficult to tell what pieces you were supposed to use. It took my dad about 3-4 frustrating hours to assemble. Then we got towards the end and discovered the bar that allows for the front loader to lift up and down was not there. It’s a pretty large piece and a pretty important one. We emailed the company but haven’t heard back yet.As for the function: My son is still fairly happy with it. As his mom, I am wishing his dad didn’t get this because he’s not yet strong enough to pedal over bumps and hills in our yard so I am pushing him the whole time. It’s definitely ot my favorite.

So cute- so hard to assemble
I purchased this item for my son’s 4th birthday. The assembly directions were a pain but the actual construction was not hard. The instructions came on 3 separate pages with pictures of what to do and what pieces you would be using. Each step did have a true to size picture of the screw so you could check that you had the right ones. Those small pieces did not seem to be packaged intentionally at all and locating them is what made it take the most time. If you can not assemble ikea furniture, you may want some help putting it together. Overall we are happy we bought it and my son is thrilled

Would it have been that hard to put decent instructions with it.
No parts list. No text. Bad pictures. A little text or much better photographs would have been helpful. Theres's one area where it would have been much easier to assemble it in a different order. Also, this toy has axle caps which can be a chore to put on by yourself because you need to drive home the one axle cap while blocking the other with a block of wood. To do the wheels you need a square block about 4"x4"x3" and for the bucket catch you need a wood block about 4" or greater unless you do it as the very first step.I think it would be difficult for a toddler to lock the excavator in place so it can be driven. We'll see when my grandson gets it. Also, the hood over the 'engine' falls off very easily when raising it. I can see that just getting left lying in the yard.We paid a discounted price because the box itself was damaged. Other than one missing nut, that was a good deal. For $300 plus, I think it's way overpriced and have my doubts about how long it will be before a little box destroys it.
