Why do so many people write answers here that start with "I don't know...."?? Why would anyone be interested in the fact that you don't know something

I agree with happytheclam, but only recently figured it out. I used to think that people who answered questions without having an actual answer just wanted attention or something. A while back, though, I started receiving emails from Amazon containing customer questions about items I had purchased. For a minute I thought the question was just for me. Then I realized that Amazon was sending it to many buyers, hoping to get at least some useful answers. Until reading happytheclam's answer here, it didn't occur to me that they were doing the same thing with the sellers. I agree that many people or sellers think the question is only for them, and feel they must respond, even if they don't know the answer.

What age of children play this game?

Hi Marlene,...our grandchildren (7boys) range from 6 to 18 and all love it...the songs then are intergenerational and as long as they can sing a few words of their song choice...that's all...everyone may not know each song and that's what we enjoy...we get everything from nursery rhymes, rap, country, 50s, pop...it makes for a lot of fun...invariably if there is any doubt they will pull it up on their iphones or other tech. gadgets for proof to grandpa...we absolutely love the game...our 10 year old is always asking to play it...it is a lively happy gameJudy McKinstrySouth Carolina

How is this different than the game encore?

The game play is completely different. The object of Spontuneous is to stump others from being able to sing a song containing your word. If you do stump them however, you have to back it up with a song of your own, otherwise your penalized by rolling the dice and moving backwards. There are also random challenge cards that are drawn when certain spaces are landed on. These can be good or bad, as in sometime you move forward and sometime you go back depending on the card and if you complete the challenge or not. Once a player reaches "finish", they must complete the Spontuneous Challenge to officially win the game. Spontuneous can be played with up to 10 individuals or teams, and it never gets old because every game is different. It will last a lifetime and only takes 30-45 to play a game!

The box reads 4-10 players. However, you could still technically play the game between two people and still have fun. It's a great game. Highly recommend it.
