Good Quality, nice and juicy ink pads
I bought these because I saw a You Tube tutorial by Shari Carroll where you can use the smaller area of the ink pad (in comparison to the larger ones) to apply ink directly onto stamps and have more control over where you can apply different colors and I was shocked at how good it came out. I've tried using the large distress ink pads to stamp my stamps with and there was never enough coverage. I think the secret was how she lightly misted water over the image before stamping. It gave everything a very beautiful water color effect while still seeming to have enough crispness in the image to see the stamped image really well. I think this technique will work will with certain kinds of stamps but perhaps not all stamps. In this case she (and I) used a winter tree stamp by Hero Arts.

This small size is great for crafters.
These mini-distress inks do all that the larger sized do at a much more affordable price. I have only about 5 of the full sized inks w/little hope of getting more as my budget is limited. Now w/this smaller size I can get new colors and still do some great resist/distress techniques on my handmade greeting cards.

glad they came out with the minis
glad they came out with the minis. I'm on a tight budget so being able to get all the colors would have been rather expensive if I got the full size. Also, since I don't typically work on large projects I find this lays down just enough color when I want to use it as a water color without wasting ink. I don't really stamp with it because the image doesn't come out real crisp but when I do it is usually because I don't want a crisp image. All of the colors in the distress line are nice, but you do have to be careful with some of them when you water them down and blend as the primary colors may show through or the color gets greyish - i.e. one of the greens turns yellow easily and one of the browns gets very faded and greyish.

good, but lids don't snap on
I love these mini inks! totally recommend them, except for the lids! The stinking lids don't snap on well and if I bump them the lid falls off and of course the pad is heavy so it is 'top heavy' and the whole thing ends up upside down on my table with the ink pad on the table. :( But, I just need to be less clumsy I guess. I still love the ink and the smaller size. I need to get a container to hold them all because stacking them up isn't working (that's when I knock them over).

Another great Tim Holtz Product
Ranger Distress mini inks are great because they are small and easy to store, easy to carry to crops. You can store the round ink pad underneath also. They blend well and are great for chalking edges. Very versatile

These inks are fantastic! I've used them on paper, on die cuts, and over other paint to achieve the looks I want.

Wrong product delivered!
LOVE these inks in the mini size! I give the inks 5 stars! But I ordered Kit #5 and received kit #13. Before I realized it I had already opened it. Make sure you have the correct one before you open it!

Fantastic
LOVE these mini Distress Inks. I was tired of having to get a big pad for just me to stamp with and these mini pads are the perfect solution. I got the containers to hold them as well and am tickled pink. lol Wish ALL inks came in mini's, cept of course Versamark and Memento Blacks. :p So easy to store and to see what I have now.
