I purchased this on a whim. I am glad I did. I charged it and used it on my dogs today. They hate their nails being clipped but took this fairly well for their first time. It was much easier. For those of you who have long haired dogs beware of their whiskers while using. My doggie got his whiskers caught in the trimmer. It was easy to pull the hair out. I like that this machine is quiet and even on a lower speed setting, gets the job done. It comes with a lifetime warranty which is nice. I haven’t used it so it remains to be seen how good customer service is. The only thing that needs improvement is the instruction manual needs to be rewritten by someone who speaks English. It isn’t the worst translation job I have seen but it’s not great. For someone who has never used one of these before well written instructions would be nice. Overall, a great machine at a good price. It came with a charging cord too! This will make it so much easier for me to keep my dogs’ nails the right length. I would recommend this nail grinder.

This a solid product, well thought out, battery endurance is amazing, not much noise so your furry friend won't be scared. Easy to use, this saved my life, I have a rescued hairless Peruvian and Shitzu mix, and she HATES nail clippers, she can't see them close to her. I even bought at the same time I bought this grinder a guillotine-style nail clipper to try that one also, but nothing, she hated also. But then, I tried the Casifor Nail Grinder, and she was fine with it, not afraid of it. I could give it 10 stars out of 5. This is more suitable for her also because her nails are black, and but a nail clipper, one mistake is your last with that dog, they'll hate it. With the nail grinder, you can see the progress and where to stop when you see you are close to the quick. If you are looking for a great nail grinder, this is the one.

I work for a professional groomer and we use dremels to grind the dog's nails. I was getting frustrated because the dremels are too loud and way too aggressive for most dogs, even though they do work. We see about 20 dogs per day of all different sizes, from chihuahuas to shepherds and 100 plus pound corsos. I got this product and immediately used it at my job the next day, And I must say it works great! Even for the strongest and thickest nails like Labs. It is so quiet that the power is deceiving. I kept thinking it wasn't on because I couldn't hear it even though the nails were being ground easily, and even smoother than the dremel. It also lasted for an entire 9 hour shift without needing a recharge, which was awesome because we are constantly having to plug the dremels in to the wall multiple times a day. I only have a couple of complaints and they are minor.... The dremel tool tapers to a metal shaft towards the top just past the handle and that allows the top of the tool to be thinner and more maneuverable, whereas this tool stays thick all the way to the grinding bit so it is chunkier and a little more awkward, especially for the inside toes. In this same regard, I wish this grinding bit itself was a bit slimmer so it can be maneuvered more easily on the inside toes But honestly it still works well. It does make up for this in some ways though by the fact that the top of the grinding bit is a dome and still has grit on it so you can use the top of the bit to grind also. This is a big advantage over most dremel bits that are open at the top to accommodate the screw that holds the bit in. Overall, this tool met and exceeded my expectations. It is quiet, and powerful enough for even the thickest dog nails. Plus, the battery life is great!

Cleaning: Small suggestion, while grinding your dog's nail have a sheet or towel around to pick up or collect the nail dust that will fly arround. Otherwise this thing is easy to clean. Just remove the cover and shake out the nail dust into the trash. You can also use a cloth if you want to wipe it. Opinion: This Casifor electronic nail grinder is amazing. It arrived on time, and it was already half charged, so to test the pain scale I used it on my own nail (I even checked how it felt on the skin area). This thing is truly soft and pain free! It is easy to hold, easy to use, and the noise level is pretty low (even when at the highest strength). All of this can be seen and heard in the photos and videos attaches. I own a chihuahua, and I generally cut her nails every two weeks. Now she has black nails, so I would always leave then a bit longer than I wanted for fear of cutting the quick (dog nail vein), which had sadly happened to me twice in her lifetime. So of course, every time I got the nail clippers out, my dog would whine and try to hide. Using the Casifor, she still whined and put up a fight when I started the first time, but after a while she realized it was safe and relaxed. I was able to cut them down to such a desired length when she calmed down, and I could not be happier.

There are so many things about this that I want to like but it's a total fail! I saw all the fantastic reviews and even read a bunch of the one star reviews and still decided to give it a try. This thing is almost silent. It's so quiet that at first I wasn't even sure if it was working until I seen the head turning. The diamond Head doesn't have the best coverage and it's almost too smooth to really grind effectively. Even turned all the way up, it hardly has any power, I literally spent 30 seconds on each nail on a Yorkie on one foot, and it barely did anything at all. I think this is more of a nail tip buffer than it is a grinder. Both of my older grinders with sandpaper discs work 100% better and faster even though they are considerably louder. The reason this thing is so quiet is because the motor sucks. I would be returning it but the package already got thrown out, so now it will be another one of my tools that sit in the drawer to never be used again.

This is not a full review since I have not yet acclimated my dog to it. HOWEVER, for the sake of those seeking a good nail grinder for dogs, four things really impressed me. 1) it came fully charged, so I could turn it on right away. (a USB charging cord was also included) 2. It comes with a lifetime warranty "...your product is covered for life! No matter if your pets don't like it." 3). It is really really quiet. When it came, I opened the package in the kitchen of my small apartment and my 30# dog was out of sight and around the corner. When I turned it on, she was really curious (not afraid) about the strange humming sound from the kitchen and came around the corner and was looking quizzically at what I was holding - almost tilting her head. I moved it closer to her and she showed no signs of fear of the object. 4) It has a continuous gradation of speed and the control is easily managed. The unit itself is very easy to hold and is not cumbersome to manage at all - which is a real plus when trying to trim a dog's nails. Again, I haven't actually used it yet, but I would imagine based on the quality of the item, that it will work very well and safely.

I love the contour and ease of use. You can turn the grinder on and off with one hand and adjust the speed effortlessly. It is quiet and stands by every claim in the product information. A little background for you…I was skeptical about buying yet another nail grinder, not knowing if I would get the same horrible results in the past. I have a large dog that does not like noise and has very tough nails. The first grinder quit working after a short time using it and I went through batteries like crazy. The second, was loud and he would not come near me when he saw it in my hand; I hated it as much as he did. And the third one, stated it was for large dogs, but the grinder would stop rotating as soon as I touched his nail; that was so annoying that I just pitched it. All that to say, I loved that this one is battery free with a handy USB; no more AA batteries. I read that it was quiet and liked that. And I had the promise of Amazon’s wonderful return policy, so I purchased that puppy (pun intended). When it arrived, I turned it on, and it was so quiet my dog didn’t even know what hit him. I took care of his nails and he never even budged from his nap. That was impressive. It was fast and easy, and I can tell it is durable. Then I saw it has a lifetime warranty and support if I ever need it; that is awesome. Just want to say thanks to Casifor for making trimming nails a fun task; I never thought I would say that. Consumers, if you are looking for a grinder that sticks by its claims with a sleek design that is easy to hold and use then this is your lucky buy. Casifor knows their stuff!!!

I really like the shape of the head on this grinder. It's sort of cured inward and fits against any dogs' nails perfectly. It's not very loud at all, though my dog is still afraid of it. He is more afraid of the feeling than the noise -- he's really sensitive and needs some help getting used to it. I've used this on my other dogs and they have no problem with it. It works pretty well, but know that if your dogs nails are REALLY long, its easier to cut a bit off and then use this tool to do the rest, otherwise it will take a while. I think this is a great tool for keeping up with your dogs nails and grinding them short without having to worry about hurting your dog. The only actually bad thing I have to say about it is that the head can become dislodged if you push too hard against the dog's nail, and that can be a bit annoying. It's sometimes a little awkward to hold. 4/5.

Great product! I have been using clippers for at least 10 years. This is well made and extremely easy to use. The girls are fine with it. Low noise, very little vibration. We have one small anxious dog, and she was fine!

I received this product yesterday after ordering over weekend and was excited to test it. I cut my dog's quick when she was a puppy and since then she ran away whenever she saw nail scissors despite several attempts of desensitisation. To be honest I was worried about using those again in case I cut the quick again. So for a good few years I've been filing her nails which as you can imagine took absolute ages. I have been wondering about getting a Dremel for them (as recommended by nail maintenance groups on Facebook) however have been putting it off due to the price and not knowing if my dog would be ok with the sound, feeling etc. In the meantime I brought a "Dremel" from aldi to try, which was very loud and she wasn't keen on it (and then it burnt after using it for the second time on a DIY project). Anyway, I decided to try this product as it was quite cheap so if it wasn't a hit I wouldn't be too upset. Well, I've got to say I'm really impressed. Not only it arrived really quickly, it is good weight, quiet, not too big to hold and manouver around your dogs nails. I was able to do all of her back nails in a couple of minutes and she wasnt scared of it (could be due to previous attempts at desensitisation to the Aldi tool). So so far I am very impressed and wish I'd bought it sooner! I also saw a little cardinside of the box which said something about a lifetime warranty, but not read it fully yet (however sounds promising!). Anyway, I would definitely recommend - I think that it's a great little tool to use with some desensitisation and regular breaks to ensure it doesn't get too hot and scare your dog off!

J'ai acheté cette lime pour mon chien qui traîne une de ses pattes ce qui abîme ses ongles. C'est idéal pour polir des ongles cassants ou abîmés. Mais ça ne remplace pas un coupe-ongles (permet juste de raccourcir de 1 ou 2mm) , il faut l'utiliser par petite touche pour éviter que ça chauffe. L'idéal est de l'utiliser après que le chien soit passé chez le toiletteur, pour entretenir les ongles à la bonne longueur. Sinon, niveau décibels, le produit est vraiment top, et il arrive déjà chargé !
