Cute little game!
This is a very cute little game. My little girl loves to play it! I would recommend to anyone with a small child!

Okay
This gaming system as a whole is borderline and simply okay. I daughter played with it at times, but our son is not interested. I just wanted to pick up a few more games after a relative shipped us a garage-sale console and game. For the price I guess I can't argue, but as we look to trim the fat, this is most likely going on the chopping block.

Better than watching cartoons!
This game is PERFECT for my special needs 3 year old. He really LOVES it! He loves that he can push a color and then the object on t.v. turns that color. Idk if it's educational because he already knew his colors and that's really the only part of the game he likes. But for a child who cannot stay entertained for longer than about 3 minutes it is great! He will sit and color using this for about 10 minutes straight! That is a big time record for him! I guess in a way it's educational because it is showing him 'cause and affect' with colors. He knows now that if he picks up a blue crayon and makes a mark on the coloring book he understands that the mark will be blue beforehand. Which is something I tried to teach him of course but he never really understood until now. I bought this system used with this game inside and it has been probably the best $15 toy I have EVER purchased for him with great success.

Better for older kids
We bought this for our son when he was 1yr old. He wasn't interested in it at all. I got it out again when he was two but he didn't quite get the connection between the keyboard and the tv. Got it out again at 3 and now he is developmentally more advanced than the lessons on the cartridges. That being said, he does enjoy playing with it even though he already knows the shapes and colors. He asks to play his game every morning.I agree with the previous review about the cartridge that comes with the system being the best. We had bought the baby einstein one and it is pretty boring.

I wasn't using it at all, sorry.
The only good thing about it is it shows Pooh, my baby instantly recognizes Pooh, but that's the end of it. I'm hoping she'd be more interested in it in the next months since she's only 1.5 y/o.My advice - don't get an extra cartridge yet because the one that comes with it (LEARN AND DISCOVER HOME) is probably the best. Initially you might be thinking (as I did) that since it comes free with the toy, that it might be boring. NOT THE CASE AT ALL.The lowest mark is probably the music. It can't attract my baby, it's a little boring. When she's older, I hope she'd take notice of the games. The games are like, really also boring and hard to understand for smaller babies, compared to LEARN AND DISCOVER HOME.

V Tech...
I can say that I was disappointed by the lack of response by both of my boys when it came to the V Tech system. I thought that the V.Smile baby would be a big draw. I also bought the V Tech bigger kid version for my more "advanced" twin. It's not as easy as it seems and the babies don't always get the correlation between the TV and the system. It's a challenge, but hopefully they will learn to love it.
