New Holy Grail "Foundation"!
Let me start by describing my very long journey to finding the perfect foundation. As a teenager, I had awful hormonal acne pretty much all over my face, but concentrated on my chin/cheeks. My makeup routine took me FOREVER to do as I did A LOT of color correcting on all of my acne on top of a very high coverage foundation. I had always bounced around from foundation to foundation and never found something I liked, despite trying MANY high end foundations. Even if they had the right coverage, there was always something that bothered me about it: the finish, the color wasn't exactly right, didn't last long, etc. After several years, I am so thankful that my acne finally cleared up and my face is acne free, with the exception of the occasional pimple on my chin area. My struggle now is my post-inflammatory scarring and uneven skin tone which pretty much disappear with any foundation I put on. Problem is, the "holy grail" foundations that everyone is talking about nowadays are usually very heavy/super high coverage that give me an overdone/caked on look that I'm not a fan of. I was looking for a foundation that covered my hyperpigmentation/uneven skin tone, while still looking natural. I had gotten interested in a lot of the asian beauty/skincare products that I read about on Reddit and read about cushion foundations. I found the L'Oreal Lumi Cushion Foundation that I loved (good finish - dewy/glowy, perfect coverage - not too heavy but still looked natural), but was disappointed with the price and how it ran out SO fast ($15 and lasted about 2 months compared to other foundations I had bought that lasted 3-4 months for the same price). I decided that the product I was probably looking for was a BB cream because they are known for being light-weight while still providing some coverage. I decided to do a simple "bb cream" search in Amazon, and the first product to pop up was the Maybelline BB cream, and a little further down, this MISSHA Perfect Cover BB Cream. After reading about how the Asian brands are typically WAY better quality than the American-produced counterparts (since that's where they originated from), I decided to do some research on this one. This product has many glowing reviews about what a miracle makeup product it is, with the occasional 1-star review of people who received a fake one. I then talked to my sister about it, as she has invested a lot of time and money into a lot of Asian beauty and skincare products and she told me she has actually been using this BB cream as her foundation for 3 years! I was immediately impressed as she has even worse scarring, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone than I do. Yet, when she has makeup on, it completely disappears. I figured she had invested tons of money into some super high-end foundation that I wasn't willing to spend money on/wouldn't be what I wanted. I decided I didn't need much more convincing and ordered the product right away. Well, I can now say I am so happy to have found my holy grail "foundation"!! ("Foundation" being in quotes as that's not really what it is.) This product has absolutely EVERYTHING I was looking for. I am Caucasian with pretty light skin (I am typically the 2nd lightest shade in most foundations), so I ordered #21 based off my sister's color which was the lightest (#13) and she is pretty much paper white/ghost pale. Most people have been put off by the very gray/ash color this BB cream has (which eventually oxidizes into a more natural looking color.) I had read about it already and was prepared for it. I applied it with my Real Techniques blending sponge, first by applying a dot on my cheeks, forehead, and chin, and then blending out. I was IMMEDIATELY impressed by how natural this BB cream looked on my skin and how my hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone completely disappeared. It pretty much melted into my skin. I leaned in as close as I could get to the mirror and still could not even tell I had anything on my face. This BB cream is VERY lightweight (it felt like I was wearing nothing!!) yet lasts so long! (I slept in it the first night -- ew, gross, bad, I KNOW! -- and it was still on my face the next morning!) But like I said, I would have to say my favorite thing about this foundation is the "miracle" coverage. I say miracle because it covered up my hyperpigmentation and evened out my skin tone, yet still looked completely natural (you could still see my freckles and looked like I had nothing covering them). The finish on this foundation is definitely not matte, but definitely not super "dewy" to where you look oily. My L'Oreal Lumi Cushion Foundation definitely was skirting the line between "dewy" and "oily", but this is absolutely perfect. And super BONUS: This BB Cream is SPF 42! I know I should be wearing sunscreen everyday (after all, the best way to treat hyperpigmentation is by not letting it get worse) but I have not found a sunscreen that isn't greasy or wears well under makeup. So I unfortunately skip sunscreen most days. While the amount of this BB cream I put on my face probably does not have enough SPF to perfectly protect me in the awful Texas heat I live in, I can be a little relieved that I have SOME protection! If you have made it to the end of this ridiculously long review, I hope I have convinced you to at least give it a shot. I bought it for $10 from the seller Beauty Best LLC, and I definitely received a real one. This BB Cream sells for $22 on the MISSHA website, so you really have nothing to lose by trying it! $10 is an absolute steal for this amazing BB cream. I cannot say enough great things about it!

MUCH Better Than Tarte
I've been wanting a new BB cream for a while, since I've been using Tarte and haven't liked the smell, coverage, how easy it comes off during the day, and causes me breakouts. I've been looking into a ton of different ones and just haven't found one that was impressive. I decided to try this one and see how it works. When I put it on my hand to get ready to apply, I was worried it was too dark, but once I applied it it matched incredibly well - better than I'm used to. It smelled great and felt like lotion on my face, not like cakey makeup. It stayed on extremely well throughout the day until I took it off. Normally after taking off makeup and doing a deep cleanse, my face still feels gross; however after washing this off my face felt clean and normal. Actually, it felt like when I'm makeup free and do an intense moisturizing lotion in the morning then again in the evening. I was pleasantly surprised at how moisturizing it ended up being. I waited until the next day to consider writing the review, since I ALWAYS breakout horribly and feel like I'm still wearing makeup after wearing makeup or my old BB cream. I woke up this morning and didn't have any new zits and my face doesn't feel gross. After all this, I definitely feel like this is worth the price and will definitely get more!

Wow! Absolutely perfect BB cream.
I will never use another foundation. I've tried several tinted BB creams, and they were all fails. This make up covers flaws, evens out my skintone, doesn't settle in lines, feels like nothing on my skin, and looks like I'm not wearing make up. The fragrance bothered me at first, but it seems to dissipate faster as I use the make up. I could smell the not unpleasant but unusual fragrance almost all day the first time I wore it. Now it the fragrance lasts maybe a few minutes, and then it goes away. I use two pumps from the dispenser and apply it with my fingers. The color out of the container looks very grey, but magically changes as it is applied. I ordered #23 for my light, warm, beige complexion. Over the 60 years I've been wearing makeup, I've used Clinique, Estee Lauder, Maybelline, Cover Girl, L'Oréal, Bare Minerals, and Neutrogena foundations. It's my first choice now for a daytime, ready in 10 minutes and out the door routine. This is a great makeup and a great value for the price point. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this BB cream. It really gives perfect coverage!

Not holy grail but close!
I find the shade 21 to be a really good match for my fair light skin tone. I have cool undertones and though this has a “grey” cast when you pump it out, it blends in well and just looks perfect. If you’re cool toned and have struggled to find a shade match that isn’t too pinky/peachy or too yellow/orange, this might be worth trying! Also, if foundations tend to oxidize on your skin, this could solve that problem. This is a creamy, moisturizing product with medium coverage. I have dry skin and on me, it has a natural satin finish. (If you don’t have dry skin, it probably will have a dewy finish.) I find it applies easily with a brush or sponge, blends seamlessly, feels lightweight on my skin, and looks really nice. I use this pretty often as my everyday “work makeup” coverage product. I deducted one star because I have two issues with this: first it is strongly fragranced. I don’t have issues with it breaking me out but I prefer my makeup and skincare to be fragrance free. And second, it doesn’t have the longest wear time. Some days it just seems to fade away throughout the day and my hyperpigmentation spots are peeking through. I will say that I find it to fade gracefully and evenly, so it doesn’t ever look patchy or wear away unevenly. If it’s going to fade, I’d much prefer that to a product that just ends up looking like a bad, blotchy makeup application.

AWESOME PRODUCT for this 73-year-old.
This is the whole package for my 73-year-old, wrinkled face. For the past several years, I have only used IT Bye Bye Undereye to conceal the red tones under my eyes and on my eyelids. Wothout concealer I look as if I've cried for 3 days. My face is a roadmap of the USA, so I never wear foundation, only blush and concealer. Saw a blog about MiSSHA not having the orange undertones other makeup has. I realized that is exactly what my IT has...orange undertones. Need more concealer, so I decided: 1.) MISSHA is half the price of IT makeup and has 4x the product. 2.) I live at cabin spring thru fall, and I am on the water each day so have to use sunscreen. MISSHA is an SPF 42. 3.) Blogger said no orange undertones. At the price point, I figured I might as well try this product. Today, I received my MISSHA Perfect Cover BB cream No. 23 (natural beige), and I am thrilled! 1.) My skin is a light beige with red undertones. I admit, first pump frightened me. It looked darker than what I use and sort of grayish. 2.) Put under my eyes and the color is perfect! If it has gray undertones, that's what I needed. It totally disguises and covers the red under my eyes and on my eyelids. It blends perfectly into the surrounding skin, so nothing shows that I am using concealer. 3.) I have light lines under my eyes, where I put the concealer. I can't say that it disguises them, but it doesn't make them appear worse. 4.) I decided to use the cream on my whole face. Unbelievable!! Again, it didn't disguise wrinkles (they are deep), it blended beautifully, softly, covered a few light age spots and just evened the tone of my whole face for a "brighter" look. After a whole day, there is no cakey makeup that has slid and settled into my wrinkles. My face just looks softer. 5.) Moisturizing, without feeling heavy/greasy. I really love this moisturizing, tinted, medium-coverage sunscreen!!! I am lucky that it's such a great match for my skin because, if I am out on the boat and feel I should reapply sunscreen, I could just wing it, throw some on and gently blend in.

Where was this my whole adult life?!
I love this foundation. I'm 55 and my skin isn't what it once was. I take care of myself, but most foundation sinks right into my tube lines and wrinkles and accentuates my pores. This does not do that. The coverage is great without being heavy. I was on Orlando all week and the temps got into the 90's and this foundation did not make me sweat. When I first received it and saw that the color was almost a grayish beige I panicked and was looking to see if I could return it. I figured I'd try it in my hand and was happy with it so I applied some primer and put it on my face. To my shock, it matched perfectly. Everyone's preferences are different but honestly I think it's worth a try for anyone looking for a good coverage, affordable, noon greasy foundation that will last the day. Made the texture of my skin look and feel so smooth.

With someone who has dry+acne skin
I was worried that this was going to leave a cakey dry finish, but after I was out and had it on for like four hours, it still looked great. Just the cream and some blush. I made sure to skin prep so maybe that’s why I was left with such a clean satin finish. I struggle with acne and scars, the coverage is sheer-ish but really nice, I currently use Accutane but this actually held up pretty well, and my face wasn’t peeling off so it looked fine throughout this time, but this was also my first time using it. I love the way it feels, it has a peculiar smell (maybe the zinc?) but nothing that really bothers me. It was perfect for a no-makeup makeup look.

Velvety. Not Smelly. Don't freak out because it looks gray right out of the tube.
Gen X. 50 something here. #23 Natural Beige. Neutral undertone. Just got it 5 minutes ago & already love it. Very faint fragrance, almost none. Pump squirts out tiny amounts. Awesome. Less wasted product. 6 squirts for entire face. Used a Wakemake flat foundation brush. It looks GRAY when I squirted it on my wrist. Blended easily. My face feels like velvet. Not matte. Not glassy. Did not make my skin feel tight or dry. Covered my age spots on my cheeks without looking chalky. Does not exaggerate my pores. I will update on how it wears & if it settles into my wrinkles...... I've recently (2025) tried Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Waterproof Foundation. It settled into my wrinkles immediately. (GREAT color match though!) i tried Il Makiage (2024). Same issues. (Those 2 brands are GREAT for younger skin. I'm not dissing their products) Loreal. Max Factor. No luck. (LOVED those brands when my skin was younger)

A wonder for pale, picky skin!
I've always heard raves about Korean BB creams, but didn't buy into the hype. I mean, how much better could it be? That was until I was getting frustrated trying to find a long-lasting, non-irritating foundation for my pale, dry, sensitive skin… Everything kept coming up short. I've tried name brands like Smashbox, Makeup Forever and Clarins and was very dissatisfied with the results. After hearing my friend rave about Missha Perfect Cover, I decided to give it a shot. I was a little sceptical about the coverage/tone because I have acne scars and definitely lean more blue/pink than yellow/gold, but hey! It was pretty cheap on Amazon, so why not? What could go wrong? OH. MY. GOD. This stuff is the best! Though it does go on a little grey, it quickly blends to match my skin. It's coverage is so good that I now use WAY less concealer than I used to, and it also hasn't made me breakout, which is a BIG make or break for any face product I use. In fact it's been actually making my skin better! What?!? I know! As for lasting power, paired with the Missha BB Boomer and a light dusting of finishing powder, this has lasted all through my work day, into the night without any big touch ups. I am in love. Other Tid Bits: - very dewy finish, but a light setting powder will help turn that into demi-matte if that's not your thing - A little goes a long way! - my long-term boyfriend, though uneducated on makeup, has witnessed all my struggles with finding the perfect foundation, and the first time I wore it he thought I wasn't wearing any makeup at all… bless his naive little soul! lol - I swear I'm not paid to gush. I am just sick of paying too much for sub-par western makeup and want to tell everyone. Seriously, they don't even compare!

Make up cream
I tested the MISSHA M Perfect Cover BB Cream in shade No. 27 (Honey Beige) and was very satisfied overall. The texture is pleasantly creamy and easy to apply. It offers medium to good coverage that covers imperfections well without looking mask-like. The finish is natural and gives the skin a healthy glow. Another plus point is the included sun protection factor of 42, which offers additional protection against UV rays.
