Wood Square Dowel Rods 1/8 inch x 36 Pack of 25 Wooden Craft Sticks for Crafts and Woodworking by Woodpeckers

The product itself is of excellent quality. Straight, true to length, uniform in diameter, etc. Where I had a problem was the package was marked as 1/8", while the contents were 3/16".Not too big of a deal, because I only needed something small, but if you're needing exactly 1/8" square dowel rods, you might want to check their diameter when they arrive.As a side note, I did also order a pack of 1/4" square dowel rods and they were pretty much true to size. Maybe someone just accidentally slapped the 1/8" label on the wrong package.I won't be returning these because they will fit my needs and they really are nice quality. But I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up to double check the diameter.EDIT: Well, I originally left 4 stars, trying to be generous. But now that I have counted them, I see that I only have 25 pieces instead of the 50 that I had ordered. So not only did they send me the wrong size, they only sent me half of them. Yeah, that's one way to save money, I guess. Nah, I'm good. I'll be doing business elsewhere from now on.

Great craft supply that benefits immensely from great QC before packaging. Each piece of wood is straight and true, with zero internal flaws or splintering. Length of course is absolutely on the dot, but I was surprised at how exact the diameter of each dowel was, and how little variance there was across the entire quantity. You can tell that precision and quality are highly valued just by the end product. I am scratch building a 1/144 space shuttle mobile launch platform from the original plans and I could not be happier with these dowels and would buy again 10/10.

I have ordered different wooden dowel rods from this seller and they always come well packaged and are not warped at all which is impressive. I have found many uses for them doing wood trim work. The square stock dowel also makes a perfect finished edge for glueing to rough plywood ends to make them more finished. I use them to make architectural boxes and details on walls, trim and cornices as well as use them in construction of miniature movie sets. I am Always pleased with the quality and packaging.

This is the first time I've used this product, and I love it!. If this was dimensional lumber the grade would be "clear". The pieces were straight, clean and strong. It was truly fun to work with. I used it for the framework on the bottom and the balusters on the stairs. I used about 2/3 of the package. I'm looking forward to the next project.

I was dissapointed with the overall quality of this product. I ordered the 1/8" square by 36" 25 pack. There is no consistency in the dimensions of this product. I did not find one piece in the 25 pack that was square or measured .125" (1/8"). Additionally the claim that they need no prep is also inaccurate. I found multiple splintered edges which needed sanding. This product might be fine if you don't need any dimensional consistency but if you need accuracy this is not the product you are looking for.

I'm going to use this to reinforce corner joints and other joints in my projects. Given how nice these square dowels I might use them to embellish my project. I'm constructing a birchwood top on a filing cabinet to hold my fanless tiny PC and DVD player I can use the dowels to keep these in their place.

Can't go wrong. Hard to find size for your crafts is just what you get...could always be cheaper, but it's fair for today's market. Go for it.

I like that it’s really sturdy; However, it’s a bit of hassle to cut through compared to the other basswoods I’ve purchased.
