Will this stick/adhere to polymer, like a gun stock for example?

Yes it sticks to just about everything as long as you rough up the surface and remove oils and grease with alcohol or an equivalent degreaser.

Does it work and stick to styrofoam - if not what type of material needs to be on the Styrofoam to work well?

I'm not sure but you can do an experiment with a little piece of it. Try watered down wood glue and paint the Styrofoam. That usually works with getting oil based clay's to stick to Styrofoam. Of course let the wood glue dry before putting on the epoxy. I don't see why that won't work. Or if it doesn't you can wrap it in aluminum but I think that might be more trickier to work with... secure with thin floral wire perhaps. I hope this helps.

How does this compare to aves apoxie sculpt and magic epoxy sculpt?

I've work with Magic Epoxy Sculpt and Aves Apoxie Sculpt. Those are much better to work with the Sculpt Epoxy Putty is like sculpting with gum it is very hard to work with or perhaps I don't have the patience with using it but I don't like it. The others are better in my opinion.

Unusable

I have used this medium in the past but this container appeared out of date or unusable. The last batch used was light and fluffy and easy to get out of the container. This batch is bad and difficult to get out of its container and does not perform, hasn’t dried in over two days. Materials weighed on a scale for equal parts A and B.

Take the time to fix a frame!

I found this product fairly easy to use but I did rely on a YouTube video to walk me through. Guidance is important because it’s not obvious how to work with this product. Attached photos show “Before” and “After” repair.

It takes a little getting used to...

But it works great! Honestly my favorite thing for patching or adding to resin casts, and it's my go-to for making customized toys. Just never use it with your bare hands! I highly recommend ordering some close/tight-fitting tattooist gloves to use while working with it.
