Demian uses the goals of weakening your opponent's position and working from your own strong positions. This includes working from strong, closed, and tight positions with your elbows to your sides and close to lockout arm positions. I watched the entire series (both). I watched the 1st dvd on guard pass prevention again and noticed more things of benefit such as bicep control while controlling the opponents head. He doesn't waste time using a lot of words. I'd say if you can afford it or can find a good way to get it, get it. This series is part of the instruction needed to be a good fighter. Also, Anderson Silva's book on striking is good. Demian is no doubt a world class BJJ guy, but the quality of instruction and details can be better. Way too many little things are left out, which is a shame. If you don't know anything at all, this would be good. However, if you are a serious Blue Belt and above, then this is not for you.
