WixRacing Filters Air Filter

After opening the box I noticed that I received the new design WIX 49184. Upon further observation, I could see that the "integrated urethane seal" was defective and would not function properly. Ordered a replacement and it has the same problem.

Almost half the price that the chain store wanted for it. It is a little tricky to get to sit in there like it should, but it does seat down level and seal properly. Just hold you tongue right.

Filter was delivered on a rainy Sunday by the USPS, even though I live on a farm way out in the country. That impressed me.The filter fitted right into my 07 Duramax Diesel air filter box ok, but it was a little dicey to get it seated properly. Lots of shoving until it snapped into place.Pay no attention to the Amazon sizing software. It said (erroneously) the Wix 49184 wouldn't fit but it did. The same software said that the K&N RC 5179 would fit, but that filter was several inches too long. Cost me about $15.00 to send it back.

Installed this in my 07 Chevy 3500 classic 6.6. I’ve always heard Wix made the best filters so I use their oil and fuel filters too. So far no problems

For a 2009 chevy Silverado 3500 diesel. Hard to ensure seal is complete around the entire air intake.

Fit my 2007 chevy 2500 hd diesel with the lbz perfectly.

Wix use to be my go to filters after seeing this filter not no more!!!! They evidently have no QC anymore.
